Charm and the best fishing in the world
Best beach in the world. Rated Number one in USA!
Condo was great very clean. Easy check-in and very accomadating
We stayed in the Sunset Dreams condo during the last week of March. The condo itself was perfect; everything was clean and spacious, and the kitchen was wonderful! There isn't a stove in the kitchen, but there are two burners and a "Space Saver" microwave oven that has a "bake" function. The bedroom was super comfortable and had a beautiful view of the bay. The sheets had a few bleach marks and stains, but were soft and enjoyable nonetheless. Beach access is just a short walk away, and there are shops close by for light shopping. We enjoyed mostly good weather and spent the majority of our time on the beach, but we also enjoyed the cable and book selection in the condo during the few rainy days we spent there. Our particular favorite read was the book about local legends and tall tales. We enjoyed visiting the sites of the stories after the bad weather stopped. Overall, Sunset Dreams was amazing and we hope to spend many more vacations there in the future!
Looking for a good deal for a nice relaxing weekend getaway and came across the Villas of Hatteras Landing. I was extremely pleased to find a nice quiet, clean and well kept condo with a wonderful second floor view of Pamlico Sound. I could walk right next door to some nice shops and another few steps across the way to the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and access across the street to a beautiful stretch of quiet beach. Many local shops, restaurants and watering holes within a leisurely bike ride or short drive between Hatteras Village, Frisco and Buxton and easy access to the ferry for a nice side trip to Ocracoke. I wouldn't hesitate to book another stay here in the (hopefully) not-to-distant future. Thanks again!
Although we were hit with some cold weather, this condo was still perfect. The view is outstanding! It was the perfect Valentine's getaway! We had an amazing dinner at Dinky's down the road, was the best dinner we have had in a while!
I enjoyed my stay at Linda's condo in Cape Hatteras. The property is well equipped and has a great view out to the sound. I was lucky enough to be staying at a time when few other vacationers frequent the island, so the complex was virtually empty and therefore very quiet (which I personally appreciated). In high season when travelers flock to the cape, I imagine the situation would be very different. Two drawbacks to mention about the condo are 1) there is no oven 2) the view of the sound is from the bedroom (the main living area looks out to the hallway). Despite these minor quibbles, I enjoyed my time on the island and think the property is a great value for the area and location; I recommend overall for those looking to getaway to one of the most scenically beautiful regions on the eastern seaboard.
Property was totally as described. We would recommend this property to anyone interested - great views, next to the free ferry and the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum. Charter fishing available next door as well as shopping and Tiki Bar & sandwich shop. Groceries 1 mile away - small but has everything you need without price gouging. Lots of great restaurants nearby - Sonny's, Dinky's, Captains Table, Rusty's - NOT Billfish. Lighthouses to visit. Free ferry to Orcacoke Island next door - drive 16 miles to Ocracoke Village - great day trip and neat little village. Permits available to drive 4X4 onto the beach on both islands.
Local YMCA offers weekly passes.
