We had a wonderful stay !
As mentioned by others the proximity to the streetcar was awesome ! We did the pass for a whopping $3 and would come and go with ease. Lots of great restaurants in the area. We had breakfast at Ruby Slipper ( kinda sketchy area but did not feel unsafe ) Bestys Waffles, and the best was the Canal Street Bistro, Katies is great for dinner. Wits Inn was Ok but not spectacular although my wife and daughter loved their pizza. Rouses grocery store is a short walk away
The house itself is very comfortable and accommodating. Stephen was easy to communicate with.
We would definitely stay here again.
Thanks Mark and we loved having you guys.thanks for all the suggestions and tips and I look forward to having you back so you can put those handyman skills to work! 😀
See you soon!
The Trolley stop was GREAT
Excellent location, so close to the streetcar/bus stop it was ridiculously easy to get around anywhere in the city. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen I have ever seen in a rental, and almost made us regret having dinner plans out for each our 3 nights.
The street itself was very quiet and we had nice, friendly neighbors.
The only down-side was the layout of the house itself since there is no hallway. Living room is in the front, kitchen is in the back. To get to the kitchen you need to walk through both of the bedrooms. Not a problem if your group is relaxed and can go with the flow, but could possibly be an issue if travelling with light-sleepers!
We will definitely keep this on our list of possible places to stay in the future, and would recommend it to any of our friends.
Charming space, clean and close to the trolley!
Truly a gem in the heart of New Orleans!
The Trolley Stop is the most warm and welcoming home in Mid-City New Orleans! Every room is filled with lovely details and iconic images of the city. It is located steps from the Canal Streetcar and the neighborhood has many restaurants. Stephen is an excellent host providing us with everything we could have needed to celebrate Thanksgiving. The kitchen and dining room include all of the trimmings for dining in with the conveniences to make you feel right at home. This is a beautiful and quiet space to rest after a day in the French Quarter! I would highly recommend staying here!
Great Location! Perfect for an extended weekend!
The Hop on the Streetcar home was ideal for our extended weekend in New Orleans. The location was perfect. Stephen had provided great information in advance of our stay so we knew that Thursday evening, our arrival, was perfect for a bit of Pizza at the neighboring restaurant Katie's. We sat at the bar and had a great time conversing with the bartenders and wait staff. The pizza was the best I have ever had and it fed two of us, with leftovers for the discount price of $12! We made breakfast and cooked dinner in the home the rest of the weekend, and only ate lunch out, making it a great bargain. It's a cute, quiet and safe neighborhood. The kitchen had everything we needed. It's just 1/2 block to the StreetCar stop - ideal for easy commutes. We definitely recommend the Hop on the Streetcar property!
Thanks so much! I’m so glad y’all had a good time and we would love to have you back any time!
Clean and comfortable.
Love the classic shotgun style house. We use the streetcars for everything when we visit and it was great being so close to a stop. Great jazz fest rental. We would absolutely stay here again.
Thanks so much Nic! I'm glad you enjoyed it and I hope to have you back again!
Tons of Restaurants within a 6 block radius (walking distance). Downtown/CBD/French Quarter is a 15 minute streetcar ride away. Easy access to all parts of the city. Great nightlife, shopping and tourist attractions. Wonderful architecture and sightseeing activities.
