About Ed Jenkins
Martha and Ed Jenkins have been in the vacation rental business since 1998. Ed grew up in the flatlands of eastern NC and never saw a mountain until he was 18 years old. He fell in love with the mountains and now enjoys sharing the thrill and inspiration of the majestic mountains of North Carolina.
Ed Jenkins purchased this Cabin in 2009
Why Ed Jenkins chose Traphill
Stone Mountain State Park is the LARGEST State Park in North Carolina. It features, rushing streams, hiking, biking, trout fishing, water sliding, picnicking plus historical sites. In our opinion, it is without a doubt the prettiest state park in NC!

Everything great with cabin except invasion of stink bugs! Had to leave a night early, couldn’t take those bugs one more night, crawling everywhere! Property owner knew of problem so would have liked a heads up! Called property manager and left s message never heard back!
Every home and VACATION rentals in the Yadkin Vally is dealing with this problem. We have our cabins professionally exterminated WEEKLY during this seasonal invasion. They arrive in late September and leave in early November. The guest failed to mention that we called and offered a free night stay in it future.
This was just what we needed. We spent 2 nights in the cabin and did not want to leave. The sunrise views are magnificent and had us up early every day.
The place was clean and the owners were extremely responsive and easy to work with. We took a lot of extra kitchen items after reading reviews, but we didn't need any of it. The owners had added everything O saw mentioned in previous reviews. Go check this place out....you won't be disappointed.
Cute rustic cabin!! We enjoyed our stay.
2nd time staying at the cabin. Perfect vacation spot!
Perfect getaway cabin!!
This cabin was perfect for celebrating my wife's bday and our anniversary! It has all of the rustic charm portrayed in the photo. The view from the porch is amazing, adding a beautiful sunrise to your morning coffee! The location is secluded and quiet, making nights perfect for sitting on the porch or around the fire while listening to all of those peaceful sounds of the trees and crickets and cicadas and frogs, etc. You are just a five minute drive or short hike from the entrance to Stone Mountain State Park and all of the beautiful trails it has to offer. The views on the park are amazing as well! There are some waterfalls you can easily hike to within the park, and I highly recommend hitting Widow's Creek Falls and take your swim clothes. Very refreshing on a hot day!
All in all, we had a wonderful time and are looking forward to going back again!! Thank you, Ed and Martha (and Louise) for making our stay so great!!!
The Perfect Getaway
