Create lasting memories...
Our bright, spacious locke mountain sunday river townhouse will accommodate your entire family in luxurious comfort by night while the slope-side location - the absolute best in all of sunday river steps from the tempest trail/lift and the white cap area, gives you easy access to all the great skiing that the 8 peaks of sunday river has to offer by day. Ski-in/ski-out right from the back door.
This sunny warm three level townhouse, which is a third of the way up locke mountain, has incredible panoramic views of the mahoosuc mountain range from every level. Plus, because you are located high up on the mountain, you can skip taking the chair from the base in the morning and ski across to white heat and catch the first chair just as the mountain opens. There's nothing like being the first one down white heat and lay first tracks over fresh snow or fresh corduroy. Some morning you can get 3 or 4 runs in before the crowds arrives.
You enter on the second level which opens up into a sunny living area with leather couches and a cozy fireplace. On this same level are the dinning area and a fully equipped kitchen. Also, on this level, there's a comfy tv viewing area that features a 50' plasma tv with full cable access and broadband wifi internet.
The top level consists of the master bedroom with a full private bath and great views. There are two other bedrooms on this level with a shared full bath. All three rooms have queen beds.
The first level is a wide open comfortable space with 3 sets of bunk beds, an entertainment area with a tv, couch and chair. There's also a full bathroom. Adjacent to this is a storage room with a washer and dryer.
There's also for your relaxation a private association heated outdoor saline pool, hot tub, sauna, changing rooms, and a great roomy lounge/club house with a fireplace/stove, 80 inch lcd tv, and a foosball table. The pool complex is steps away from the townhouse.
Note: this is the first time this townhouse is available for rent. My girls and i have skied here since they were as young as 2. They are older now and have many competing activities and we don't use the house much anymore.

We are avid skiers and love the mountains, the outdoors and the winters in Maine. We used to come up every weekend during the winter. Two kids are now in college and the other three have many competing activities that keep them at home on weekends. We don't use the house nearly as much as we used to and is available for rent for the first time since we purchased it in 2002. This is our home and we love it very much. Sunday River resort has been our children's back yard and playground since they were in diapers ;-)
Janice and Chet purchased this townhome in 2002
We skied NE for decades and have been to just about every ski resort. Sunday River is absolutely the best. The conditions are consistent and good and there are no lift lines to speak of. Prior to our purchase, we looked at many, many other properties. What sold us is the magnificent expansive views of the Mahoosuc Mountain range from every floor of the house plus the easy convenient access to great resort skiing - it is absolutely the best location the mountain.
Even before we entered the front door, we already knew this is the property for us. Looking through the house from the front door you can see the incredible whitecap expanse of the Mahoosuc Mountains range. It's really breath taking.
The property is a tri-level townhouse with a large living room and a cozy fireplace that's adjacent to the dinning area and the kitchen. It's a great place for families and friends to gather and create lasting memories.
Also, the property is one of the highest on the mountain. You can ski over to the White Heat chair, before the mountain opens and the crowds arrive, without having to take a lower chair lift. It's a special treat to be guaranteed the 1st chair on White Heat every morning and ski fresh powder, if you're lucky, or fresh corduroy for the first 3 runs.
We made our 2nd annual visit to this townhouse and were totally satisfied with all aspects of the trip. the property is clean and nicely appointed with all the amenities you could want for an enjoyable ski getaway. We came with a group of co-workers and had plenty of room for everyone and our gear. Most importantly they have one of the best locations for slope side access to Sunday River. The owners are very attentive and responsive and are a pleasure to work with every year. We look forward to returning again this season!
We rented this property with another family -- 5 adults and 5 kids. It was awesome. Enough space for people to spread out; nicely outfitted and supplied kitchen; and the heated pool after a day of skiing was killer. Thanks, Chet and Janice, for being so responsive and easy to work with as we got the details for the rental set up...and once we got there. We will definitely keep this place on-hand for the next time we head up over school-break.
This 3 floor townhouse is gorgeous. The wide open main floor has a nice kitchen. The dining area has a large table. There are two "living room" areas on the main floor, one with a large screen TV. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, each with a queen bed. Downstairs there is a large room that includes 3 sets of bunk beds and another "living room" area with a TV. A nice plus are the 3 full bathrooms plus one 1/2 bathroom.
Adjacent to the front porch is a ski locker. A short walk brings you the the Tempest trail.
WE WILL BE BACK!
The 10 of us (7 adults and 4 kids) were very comfortable here. It was one of the cleanest places I've rented. The kitchen had all the pots, pans and dinnerware we needed for our meals. The beds were comfortable. The owner was very responsive.
The townhouse condo was well equipt and clean. The finishing last are a bit dated but fully functional. Ski in/out justifies the cost, particularly with a large group of skiers. The pool facility was fair, could be updated and cleaner, but overall a fun experience
Our large family stayed at this property for a week of skiing. The home is comfortable and set up perfectly for a large family. I highly recommend it. The property owner provided all the necessary information ahead of time which made planning easy. I could only wish for more snow, but Sunday River didn't disappoint with enough terrain open to keep us satisfied and tired everyday. I will definitley stay here again. Thank you Janice and Chet!
The quintessential New England town of Bethel is only a 15 minute drive away with many fine shops, groceries and restaurants.
