Perfect place to stay if you want room to move around, privacy, extreamly clean and very comfortable, with a well very organized large kitchen. This is NOT a party house. There is no smoking allowed nor pets. We try to keep our homes as allergen free as possible.
Thank you for your sweet home, we felt like we were right at home,a home away from home. This is our first time experience and beautiful one. everything worked just the way we expected, and we truly appreciate it. The back yard is truly amazing. So many memories were made. We had lots of fun with the back yard sprinklers! If we were to come back to this area, this house would be the one!
Home was very well furnished, very handy location, quiet, and owners were great to work with. Made our Thanksgiving family week even better.
We rented both sides of the townhome for our weekend stay. It was immaculate and had everything we needed. The owner was responsive and accomodating. The bathroom is separate upstairs, so fine for a group. We loved the location. Only good things to say about our experience!
We had a great stay at R&R home. Everything was clean and in working order and the property was lovely. The property is located in a mixed zone commercial/residential area so there was quite a bit of business noise in the early hours on weekdays. If you are visiting during the summer, note that there is no air conditioning upstairs where all the bedrooms are located. We will definitely stay at R&R house again if we make our way back down to Salem.
The property was clean, well kept, and comfortable. Fresh flowers welcomed us to the home away from home as we prepared for my daughter's wedding. The tomato plant provided the tomatoes for a caprese salad one evening!
Definitely will think of this home if we come back to Salem.
We enjoyed our stay during mid July. The weather was wonderful (mid 70s) compared to the high 90s in the Southwest. The living room & kitchen/dining room was very spacious. The beds were very comfortable. The house was centrally located to shopping & restaurants. We enjoyed the historical neighborhood. The only issue was construction being completed in the house behind the back yard, which woke us up every morning. Just bad timing. Overall accommodations were great!
This 3 bedroom townhome exceeded our expectations. First, the house was spotless and well furnished. All of our needs were met, from the garage to the professionally landscaped private backyard with deck and outdoor furniture. The kitchen was equipped with everything a cook could want, from pots and pans, to a wine screw. The entire home from the bedrooms to the living room was tastefully decorated, and makes one feel comfortable.
The owner Joan Shugarman was available if any issues would develop. She left an instruction manual for everything from WiFi setup to favorite local restaurants. It was clear that Joan was attentive to details. I would highly recommend this place for vacationers to the Salem, OR area.
We are close downtown and very convenient to everything. If you enjoy walks we are very close to the parks at the Capitol and Willamette U. Salem Hospital is 10 minutes from the house. You can have guided tours free on weds of the Capitol building and can climb to the top of the Goldman! Very close to Bush park and Deep Woods estate. About a mile to the Carousel at Riverfront park. All the horses were made from our community volunteers carving the horses together. There are many fun antique stores close also. Salem has 2 indoor malls! About 15 miles to the factory outlet stores! Lots of people love to shop Salem, the prices seem to be cheaper and we have no sales tax! We have the Oregon Garden close, and if you love nature Silver Falls park is a great place to take a picnic and hike around and under the different waterfalls.
