About Erin Cronen

I am wife, mother of three young children and special needs teacher at Harwich Elementary School. I was born on the Cape and grew up in Eastham. My husband manages a local restaurant and we love to spend our summers swimming, beachcombing and going out on our family's boat. On a rare night out without the kids we love to enjoy so many of the local restaurants.

Erin Cronen purchased this house in 2006

Why Erin Cronen chose Yarmouth

While this property is not waterfront, it is located in beautiful historic Yarmouth Port, only a short drive to some fantastic beaches. Our home is extremely well maintained and tastefully decorated. We are only a mile or so off exit 8 on Rt. 6, the main highway. Our road is a 1/4 mile off Rt. 6a which is full of antiques, old homes and beautiful scenery. There is plenty of room for one family to stay without feeling like you are on top of one another. The yard is partially fenced in and has a quiet secluded spot in the back with no view of the road. Our deck offers shade beginning in the early afternoon and is perfect for outdoor dining.

What makes this house unique

This will now be our third year renting out this home. As in previous years, there is now no cleaning service or fee. We ask that you please leave the house in the condition in which you found it. We hope if you choose to rent our property that you will take care and respect it as if it were your own.

Wonderful Vacation spot!!

  • 5 of 5

This was our 1st time renting with HomeAway. The home we rented

was exactly as advertised. It was perfect for our family. Both our

daughters had their own space which was perfect. It was on a quiet street and the location

was close to many sights. It was a quick drive to Chapin, Mayflower and Corporation Beach in Dennis. The home had everything we needed to feel like a "home away from home". Erin was quick to answer any questions we had

prior to arriving l. We would highly recommend to our friends and rent again!

Awesome!

  • 5 of 5

If you've been to the Cape before you know the location is great...central to everything. This home is perfect, has everything you need! And the owners have really paid attention to details to make sure your stay is comfortable. They also gave us great advice and recommendations on what to do and where to go as we had not been up to the Cape in several years. They are the nicest people! You can enjoy this property inside and out with the great deck, grill, outside shower, open kitchen and finished basement. Nice linens and washer/dryer too if you need it...soap provided! Its super comfortable and super clean! If our travels ever take us back to the Cape, I would definitely rent this house again!

Great Cape Cod Vacation House

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week on Cape Cod staying at the Cronen's house in Yarmouth Port. It was immaculately clean, adorable, well stocked and pet friendly. What more could you ask for! There was plenty of room for our family of 5 and 2 small dogs. The house is centrally located on the Cape with quick access to both Routes 6 and 6A. You are 10 minutes away from Clancy's Tavern in Dennisport and 10 minutes away from a whale watch boat at Barnstable Harbor. We traveled all over the Cape from Bourne (25 minutes) to Provincetown

(1H- 1:15)from this location. The house is close to several bay beaches in Yarmouth and Dennis- all within 5-10 minutes by car. Beaches on the Nantucket Sound side are 15- 20 minutes away. The owners were available 24/7 if we needed them but everything was perfect so we never had to call. We would definitely recommend this house to our friends and relatives. We plan on coming back next year!

Great Getaway for our Family Reunion

  • 4 of 5

Having owned and rented property ourselves on Cape, we have also stayed in a number of places from time to time when space is tight. You do your best research, cross your fingers and hope for the best. Well, you won't be disappointed here. Erin is a lovely person who has made sure her home is just what she says it is...Immaculate, stylish, comfortable and quiet - which is hard to find at times. This house is so clean, that you love sitting on the couch, using the fridge, or taking a nice shower. Linens are fresh and available, well organized in a linen closet for your use. We used the kitchen for breakfast and a few dinners, and I have to say, everything was clean and very useful (so many places have had limited pots, chipped dishes etc), but there was plenty to go around. A new washer/dryer was also a big help in washing up our beach linens and other clothes, so we didn't have to come home to a trunk of laundry! The location was ideal for us - close to my Mother's home, warm Dennis beaches, the charm of 6A and a stone's throw from Route 6. And thank god for the air conditioners in the bedrooms..it was a hot few days with odd humidity which made us quite comfortable! Just to show what a good host Erin is (and business woman), she even provided her home to my brother and his wife for two nights, after our stay ended, as he was in need of accommodations last minute. A big thank you for doing that to our host. Will definitely rent here again. Just wish I could do it now!

Had a great week's vacation at the house. The house was very clean, fresh and nicely updated. Great family room downstairs for the kids. Close to beach, parks, Route 6A, good restaurants and plenty of kids activities. Would definitely recommend!

Yarmouth Port is a quiet, historic village close to the beautiful Cape Cod Bay beaches that are located in the town adjacent, Dennis. It is about an 8 minute drive to Mayflower beach which is one of the best beaches on Cape Cod. It has sparkling clear water and white powder sand which cannot be found at many of the other Cape Cod beaches. There are a few great markets close by for ordering yummy sandwiches to bring to the beach or there is a snack shack at Mayflower Beach.

This part of the mid cape tends to be a little quieter than rt. 28 side on Nantucket Sound. Enjoy your evenings watching the sun set from the boardwalk at Grays Beach about 2 miles away. Don't miss Smugglers for their delicious ice cream or Capt. Frosty's for your traditional Cape seafood. Chapin's restaurant is a just a few miles down the road with classic cape style dinning and something for everyone.

There are 2 par 3 golf courses in a 5 mile radius and 7 in a 12 mile radius.

Barnstable harbor is a 10 minute car ride down 6A where you can charter a fishing boat or venture off on a whale watch.

A few miles away in South Yarmouth you can visit Pirate's Cove for adventures in mini golfing as well as Bass River Sports World with a driving range, batting cages and mini golf too!

If you don't mind taking a 20-30 minute drive up the Cape there are some beautiful ocean beaches in Orleans and Eastham as well as some amazing dining choices. For a romantic dinner out, try Twenty Eight Atlantic or the Outer Bar and Grill at Wequasset Resort in East Harwich. There is beautiful fire pit and outside bar that is full of life during the evening.

If you are sporty and interested in biking, running, water sports or more, there is plenty to keep you occupied. The Cape Cod Rail Trail bike trail begins in Dennis just a few miles away and takes you all the way to South Wellfleet. It's a beautiful ride!

While our home might not be on or steps away from the beach, we are conveniently located to all that the Cape has to offer. Our house was built in 2001 and is well-maintained. The furnishing offer a classic yet light and beachy feel. Much of the furnishing came from Potterybarn, Thomasville, and Boston Interiors. We have a nice back deck with a gas grill and wrought iron table set that is perfect for grilling up a feast after a busy day at the beach. Our outdoor shower is large with an oversized shower head, just right for rinsing the sand and salt off!

Our house has never been smoked in. We have had dog visitors on occasion, but never any cats. The lower level is refinished with two couches, and large flat screen TV. It has two windows and door access and feels like just another room in the house, not a basement.
