Located one row off the beach and a short 20 minute drive to downtown historic Charleston. The Hunley House is a wonderful vacation destination or perfect for a corporate retreat. Beautifully appointed, the kitchen, dining area and family room are open and provide great interactive space! Enjoy your morning coffee on the porch swing while watching the ocean waves roll in, then have your dinner on the spacious patio area and watch the sunset. This is a fabulous place to spend your beach vacation, visiting historical Charleston and taking in the wonderful low country cuisine.

Master Bedroom includes an Eliptical exercise machine. Pull down projection screen is installed in the ceiling of the family room in front of the fireplace and can be viewed anywhere in the open area of the main floor. Bring your laptop and overhead projector for a business retreat that will not be forgotten!

Had Sibling and spouse reunion, room for all right to have own space. View of beach great from house..easy watch to beach. Kitchen is fabulous; has everything needed to prepare and feed 10 plus. Beds and baths great.

Must see and stay!!!

This is an incredible estate with access to any and all amenities you could imagine. Great for 1 family or 6 depending on the size. Kid friendly with beach access directly across the street in a secluded and quiet cul-de-sac. The wrap around porches that line the house are also perfect to catch a sunset or a snooze. We have stayed here two years running and it's our favorite vacation destination by far! If your looking for a relaxing vacation for you, your family and friends, you have to give "The Hunley House" a try.

Love this place!

We absolutely love this place. This year was our second year in a row staying at the Hunley house and visiting Isle of Palms. We got with several other families and love the property. The beach is just a few steps away and the house is larger enough for several families to be very comfortable. The house is in a great location and there are tons of things to do within a small radius of the house. I highly recommend this property and it is definitely our favorite vacation spot of the year. Our kids love it too!

Awesome House for large groups

My extended family of 22 rented the Hunley House and another house on the same street for a beach vacation. We could not have been happier with the house. The first floor had a wide porch with chairs, swing, and 2 gas barbecues. Inside was an open floor plan offering a great space for our large group. The kitchen was the best equipped I have ever found in a rental. And there were lots of beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. It was a very short walk through the dunes to a wide, sandy, and uncrowded beach. Unlike the southern part of isle of Palms, there is no street parking here. So therefore, no daily beach visitors. We had the beach almost to ourselves. And the 84 degree water was divine.

It is only 30 minutes from downtown Charleston, too.

The house was beautifully kept and the owner super to deal with. I hope I get a chance to return.

We Loved the House

This house was beautiful. We had a wonderful stay, some problems with the cable but we really didn't care, the owner was quick to address any problems. The pictures are accurate in describing the house. Plenty of room to spread out. Clean and well taken care of. Best place we've ever stayed in Isle of Palms and if we ever need a house of this size again would definitely stay here again. Would recommend this property to a friend.
