Wow!!! Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

My guests and myself enjoyed our stay at Theater in The Mountains this past weekend. It was very spacious and just right for me and my guests. The only thing I will say bad or need an update are the mattresses on the beds, they were a little on the stiff/hard side. But other than that we enjoyed our visit and stay and we will be returning within the next year and hope to get the same cabin.

Beautiful views, large rooms, great for a large group!

  • 4 of 5

This property recently accommodated our group of 10 adults and 8 children (preschool aged and younger). The five bedrooms all had plenty of floor space for little children to sleep, and it was so nice having a bathroom in each bedroom. The decks were very nice, and the view is outstanding, even so close to other cabins as you are. The price was right, and all the appliances worked fine, with the exception of the clothes dryer which required extra time to complete the drying process. (We did not use the dishwasher at all during our stay). The sofas and chairs were comfortable, and there was plenty of space for our large group without feeling on top of each other. There were times where I was looking for someone and it took quite a while to find them, just because the cabin is so large! There was plenty of parking right next to the cabin. The drive up is very steep, but the view is worth it!

Here are the negatives of our stay, mostly minor: The floors were very squeaky, and sound carried very easily though the first and second floor bedroom floors. I was very thankful we brought our white noise machine, which blocked out unwanted sound so our children could sleep better. We killed a decent number of ants during our 4 night stay. The pots in the kitchen are workable to cook in, but there was no decent skillet/frying pan to be found. The beds are king size, but no one in our group found them to be very comfortable. There were two pool cues cracked entirely in half and repositioned on the rack when we arrived. The biggest negative for us personally, was on the second to last day of our stay we found a dried blood stain on our sheets. Neither of us had bled at all on the trip, so we felt pretty grossed out by that. We made do with a spare sheet provided for one of the sofa sleeper beds we weren't using (I am sure if we had requested they would have replaced our sheets, but it really shouldn't have happened in the first place).

Overall, I would recommend this cabin, but check your sheets, and bring all of your cooking supplies with you!!!
