Just down the road is glittering Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Park downtown and stroll around The Village Shops, play a game of putt-putt then sip a sample from the Smoky Mountain Winery, with over 20 different varieties of wine. Don’t miss out on the moonshine tastings from Ole Smoky Moonshine and Sugerlands Distillery. Head up to the top of the Space Needle for a 360 degree view of downtown and the magnificent Smoky Mountains and at the foot of the needle stop to play at Arcadia offering 150 different video games or Iris Theater for a variety of entertaining shows.
With so much outdoor adventure surrounding you it can be a difficult to decide where to begin. Over 800 miles of hiking trails are available with skill levels ranging from beginner to expert. Horseback riding is a superb way to see the Smokies, with a guided tour with Five Oaks Riding Stables. If looking to soar through the tree canopies try a zip line tour or tree top ropes course at Adventure Park at Five Oaks.
