Great cabin and location, but need some minor cosmetic updates.

  • 4 of 5

It was a great cabin, but it need some minor cosmetic updates such as theater furniture need replacing. and bed coverings and linens were dingy. Otherwise, it was a REALLY NICE cabin. I would stay there again, if the items above were addressed. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy your cabin.

Big enough for everyone, but still disappointing

  • 2 of 5

We had 10 children and 6 adults and the cabin was the perfect size. There was plenty of room BUT that is really the only positive thing I have. The house is beat up and not well-maintained. The pool area is deteriorating and by the first night had a horrible smell, almost sewage-like! The theatre room seats are falling apart and there is a hole in the ceiling. What little hot water we had, we lost for an entire day when the power was lost on the basement level. With that many people, the hot tub certainly got used and water lost. Maintenance filled it once for us but then wanted to charge us $50 to fill it again! When I refused, they told me to use a hose and do it myself, which is no problem if the hose wasn't kept in a locked closet! There is absolutely no view and you are right on top of your neighbors. The railing on the decks are falling apart, gutter cracked and hanging. Beds were comfortable but bring your own bedding, sheets don't fit and don't feel clean. When you bring 10 kids I guess it was refreshing to feel like we couldn't really hurt anything because the place was already in bad shape so it fit our needs but we would not return given the chance. Lesson learned, trust the reviews!

Not like pictures or description

  • 2 of 5

Listing said that it was a "luxury" cabin and it wasn't. The theater room was torn apart and leather theater chairs were ripped horribly! Not normal wear and tear! The pool was nothing like the pictures and the chemicals had not been done correctly. The man that came out to look at it was very nice and put the chemicals needed into it and tried to clean it, but it was sooo bad that it still looked like mold was all along the bottom. The staining would not come up and they said that it needed to be resurfaced. We had many other issues as well, but these were by far the most disgusting. We called the management company about the issues one day 1 and they still never called back about rectifying the situation. We told them it was nothing like the description... guess they thought sending someone out would be enough even though the pool was still horrible after he looked at it. I wish I could post pictures of the pictures listed versus the actual pictures here. You would be horrified! The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because we still slept there and we still enjoyed our kids despite the situation.

Fun and enjoyable

  • 4 of 5

My family and I really enjoyed the house but there was two problems one no Wi-Fi and two it needs more lighting in the kitchen. I love the area quiet and peaceful.

Great cabin in the mountains!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was very nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. The indoor pool was great! The kitchen appliances and dishes were a little scarce. Please buy more utensils! We discovered the Apple Orchard a few miles down the road toward the end of the week. It would have been great to have some brochures in the cabin with some local attractions/restaurants so that we didn't need to discover them on our own. My biggest complaint was the lighting in the kitchen. It was very difficult to see while cooking or doing anything in the kitchen. Add a few more lights in there and it would have been perfect. We found some great hiking/running trails a few miles away. This was awesome! Overall, it was a great experience.

Fun family getaway

  • 3 of 5

We had a great stay with my family. There was so much for the kids to do! The movie theater was so great for the whole family! I have a few complaints. The lighting was terrible almost everywhere. There's only one large mirror, not enough for a large family. There's also a board that needs replaced on the top front deck. It just didn't feel homey, which was the point of renting a large cabin. That being said, we did really enjoy ourselves and was happy with our stay. Also, customer service was great. Always nice to talk to. I just wish didn't have to call them.
