I was severely disappointed with the overall condition of the property, furniture and cleanliness!
The cabin is in dire need of repair and cleaning!!! Here are a few of the disappointments we found during our stay.
There was a spot of broken tile in one bathroom that was covered with a rug and was a trip hazard. The handle fell of of the oven door while we were there, we were able to temporarily fix it. The furniture in the cabin is severely outdated and some of it is not usable. There were 2 futons in the cabin that were in such bad shape that you couldn’t even comfortably sit on them much less sleep on them (fortunately we didn’t have to sleep on them). The unit was not very clean when we arrived, there were still crumbs and spots of liquid on the kitchen island and there was a rather disturbing stain on the rug in the living area. The carpeting in the entire cabin is extremely worn, wrinkled and ripped in several spots. There was a table in one of the main bedrooms that was in aweful condition with iron marks burned into it. I know there more things that I have not listed here.
I booked this cabin for a group of 8 couples and I was embarrassed by the condition, cleanliness, furniture and disrepair that it was in. When you spend a significant amount of hard earned money on a vacation it is a real disappointment to have to stay in such a poorly maintained cabin!! I would not recommend this cabin to anyone!!!
Property is beautiful
We had 30 people stay at cabin , plenty of room for everyone . The views are magnificent
Watching it snow on the mountain was gorgeous. Cabin could use some updating and a gas grill instead of the charcoal
One out front but otherwise it was perfect and exactly what we were looking for . Be warned if you are traveling with young children
( we had 8 ) it can be very noisey with the
wood floors echoing every foot step but they had a ball in the downstairs game room and loved the bunk beds and we did move the pull out couch in front of the door so we could sleep without worrying about someone opening the balcony door . Really a great stay
Convenient to downtown gatlinburg and ober gatlinburg.
Great Place for large family gatherings!
The property was great! Only down was the bedding in the sofa beds. They were very uncomfortable! Some appliances need to be replaced (refrigerator) and a futon was broken but overall it was wonderful. I would go back to the same place.
Initially disappointing but it got better.
Payment was challenging as they only wanted one person to pay instead of each family being able to call with their credit card. The place is set up as log cabin type community, so there are many cabins side by side which made privacy, ground space for being outside and parking challenging. For an 8 BR home, the living room area was quite small consisting of a sofa and chair. We had 19 of us who slept comfortably but had some difficulty finding comfort to sit around and relax in one place and eat since there is only dining space for 10.. Thankfully there were some nice rockers to enjoy on the back porch and a nice view. The kitchen was not equipped when we got there only having 10 forks and pots and pans that were small and all the coating scrapped off. I called and within 24 hours, they brought us brand new utensils and cookware. That was a great surprise and made our stay much better since as a large group it is difficult for us to eat out and we prefer to cook. There is really no outdoor grounds area, we played cornhole on one of the back porches. There were only 5 parking places for our unit and the overflow parking was a bit of a steep hike for flat landers but we did not mind the exercise. There is a nice 2nd floor loft area that the kids hung out in and enjoyed that offered a bigger gathering space but our elderly moms could not climb the stairs on a regular basis. Having 2 nice bedrooms on the main floor for them was great. The addition of the queen bunks in the loft area with the pullout sofas were perfect for our teens. Since boys don't like to share beds, it also had space for a blow up mattress to make them more comfortable and their own full bath. The beds were comfortable, the place was clean and they made things right when we asked for it. Although the owner chose not to pay the dues for us to swim in the club pool, we knew we could use the community pool like we did last year when we stayed in another cabin. The community center pool area was great! However, be advised. The charges went from 2 dollars a person to 8 dollars a person and you could not come and go for a Day price so we opted out of swimming and that is tough for summer and kids. That was not the owners fault though, but if swimming is important, you want to take that into consideration. Overall, once everyone adjusted and we got settled, the home served it's purpose for all our families that came from different states to gather in one place and reconnect.
Property was okay
This cabin did not have pool privileges after we were told in March that it did. There was salamander in the basement area that my son caught and took outside to dispose of. The washer leaked. I did call and notify the office and a person did come and fix the leak and closed up a hole that the salamander apparently came thru. The facility slept 16 of us adequately but the rest of the 32 people would have to have slept on hid a beds etc. When asked for a refund for some of the huge price for the problems, we were told they would refund $50.
Excellent lay out,
Great would rent again, need some shades for main floor after noon sun , otherwise perfect
