About ChesLynn Browning
Hi, I am ChesLynn; Austin has been my home for over 30 years; I was reared in Fort Worth and graduated from TCU, but came to Austin in time to rear my daughters here. I got my graduate degree from Texas State University and briefly attended Texas A&M before I dropped my doctorate program to go to work for Dell. I had spent years in education until I took an opportunity with Dell in 1997. My husband and I live on 5 acres just ten minutes from downtown Austin and love the Hill Country ambience and metro advantages that our life in Austin affords us. I believe there are actually more horses that live on my street than people and, oh, I cannot forget the llama. Yes, the Austin slogan is 'Keep Austin Weird,' and Austin is such a unique city with its music, its parks and trails, its high-tech ventures, gaming and movie industries, athletics, medical community and, of course, the University. Our family feels blessed to call Austin home and to share this experience with you.

Why ChesLynn Browning chose Crestview
Anderson House and apartment are both incredible yet separate living spaces. When I discovered that the previous owners wanted to sell it and move on to other vistas, I jumped at the opportunity. I instantly fell in love with the quality of the design, the integrity of the construction, and the attention to detail that the previous owners invested in building and maintaining the Anderson House and apartment. I have dedicated myself to implementing a short term rental that maintains the highest standards for an immaculate property and a first-rate Austin experience, so visitors experience the same appreciation for Anderson apartment that I fell in love with. This has been a natural choice; it is head and shoulders above all the other properties I reviewed before making a selection. I walked through the properpty and instantly knew this place provides the type of environment I want for my guests - I did not hesitate a moment. I invite you to share its uniqueness.
What makes this Apartment unique
The Anderson property provides a unique blend of a quaint neighborhood and ready access to the hip urban experience. That blend is what makes Austin so special. The Crestview neighborhood is both urban and serene. The property is nestled among spots that reflect this duality- the Crestview Amtrak station, Crestview shopping center with its famous little deli, Barlett's, La Fonda San Miguel and a plethora of restaurants of all ilks. The Domain and the Arborteum are at hand, Outlet Malls within a short drive, and it is only a quick hop to Sixth Street and Austin's live music scene, clubs, Townlake with all its trails and biking, UT university, and the downtown /South Congress venues. Everything happening in Austin is within close range of the Anderson property, and the real bonus is the house and apartment are so well-constructed, each space is quiet and serene inside- you would think you were alone. The only common wall is the garage wall and the apartment is not over any part of the main house's living space, so there is never the chatter or noise filtering up from another guest space. Due to the spray-in foam insulation, you are wrapped in a cocoon that climatizes and insulates you from outside noise. Whether seeking solitude or excitement, the Anderson Apartment provides the best of both worlds - for me it was an obvious choice; I hope it will be an obvious choice for you too.

ChesLynn offers a great property. The unit is extremely cozy with a great couch for afternoon naps, a fully equipped kitchen, and a clean bathroom.
Extremely convenient location as everything in Austin is within a 10-15 minute drive.
Quiet as well!! I am an extremely light sleeper and despite the property being next to a decently busy road, the room is soundproof.
Everything you need.
The apartment was everything and more than we expected. It was very clean and well stocked with all the kitchen utensils you would need. It was nice having the washer/dryer there as well. The location is so easy to get to and we found it very convenient to get to shops, grocery stores, and dining out. I would recommend this property to any couple or individual looking to stay in Austin. The owner Cheslynn was so accommodating to us as we were waiting to move in to our new house. This should definitely be on your list if you want to stay in Austin. Thanks for the great stay.
The apartment is a great spot to settle during a transition time. All guests that I have had in the apartment are moving to Austin and looking for a comfortable home place while they explore Austin and decide exactly where they want to be, so the monthly rental works out great for both of us.
I am aware that people in transition need some flexibility and so far we have always been able to work out the details to everyone's mutual benefit and satisfaction.
It is always a pleasure to accommodate a guest or a couple that are looking to enjoy Austin as much as I do.
Just Like Home
This place is fantastic. My third rental in Austin and it was the least expensive and by far the best. Everything is as advertised and more. It's like moving into a new home. The couch is comfy and so are the bed and pillows. You have a desk with note pads and writing paper. Little things you probably wouldn't pack in suit case. You're the only one with access to you're side of the garage and garage door opener. The TVs have a DVR and Direct TV. You don't have to worry about drinking and driving. The 323 cross town bus stops literally at your front door. It also connects to the 801 downtown bus. You can be on 6th street in 50 minutes. I like Austin and this place so much I've already in the process of booking next February. Thanks ChesLynn this was a great experience.
I moved here from out of town and was in a transition period while my wife and kids were still not here. I rented the apartment for 2 months and it could not have been a better experience. The location and price were exceptional and the apartment was just the perfect size. ChesLynn turned out to be a great land lord and was very accommodating to every request I made. I would highly recommend renting this apartment if you have the chance.
Thank you for the opportunity to accommodate you as you and your family transition to Austin. I hope you will love Austin as much as my family does.
Comfortable Pristine Apartment, Indeed.
I stayed in the apartment for 2 months while relocating to Austin for a new job and found everything I needed to make it my home away from home. It is indeed Pristine as described in the profile. The apartment offers plush comfortable furnishings from the sofa to the bed. Two flatscreen TV's (Direct TV cable) granite breakfast bar and fully equipped kitchen. It is a well thought-out space. One significant touch are the several pocket windows set throughout the apartment, which let in a good amount of light. While the apartment is set closely to a busy, somewhat noisy street, it has a private drive, single-car garage (one for the apt; one for main house) and two additional parking spaces to the side for guests. The location is very near many conveniences, including Wal-Mart, CVS, Ross, Fresh Plus Grocery & restaurants (e.g. Hopdoddy's, Taco Deli, Fork & Vine, etc.). and you have close access to either Mopac or I-35. The drive/Uber downtown is about 15-20 minutes without traffic and 35-50 with traffic.
There are many furnished sublet options in Austin these days; however, many offer only 500 square feet or less, without off-street and/or covered parking. The personal garage, washer and dryer and fully equipped kitchen made this feel like home. And, the owner is very responsive and only a phone call away when needed. I highly recommend.
Thank you for the opportunity to accommodate you at the Anderson House. I do feel blessed to have wonderful guests and also I am thankful that the engineer who originally built the house used an architectural design maximizing space and comfort. He even insulated the house with spray-in foam to both climatize and sound proof, so it has that convenient access while being a quiet retreat.
I have loved the feedback you have provided me; that feedback helps me keep the apartment/house in the pristine condition I always strive for.
Excellent choice-Great location
This property is perfect. The furniture is comfortable, the location very convenient, the amenities are wonderful, and the private, attached garage is a big plus. The owner is awesome. If you have a concern, she is right on it. She really wants you to enjoy your stay. I stayed in the apartment for two months, while my husband and I were relocating to the Austin area. This is a great place for a single person or a couple. It is located close to several highways for easy access to get around town too. The owner just put in a new front load washing machine and dryer. The owner paid attention to every detail and item you need to relax and enjoy your stay. Great choice.
I have loved the opportunity to accommodate you. Best wishes as you enjoy your beautiful new home.
