About the property

Bach or holiday home, 5 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, (Sleeps 24)

Pinedale Lodge and Apartment is right in the heart of Methven. Two separate dwellings on the same property catering for different sized groups who want to self-cater. We were the first accommodation provider that opened in Methven and still going strong. We welcome children and try to be environmentally friendly. We have plenty of off-street and on-street parking and a bicycle for you to borrow. If you feel like hanging out we have games, films, books and a beautiful garden. We provide everything you will need for a baby/toddler: cot, bath, toys, books, high chair.

We now have free wifi.

The Lodge is a gorgeous classic kiwi country villa, originally on a farm. Perfect for groups of families, friends, social clubs, birthday parties, anniversary get-togethers, wedding celebrations, team building or just because there is now one large holiday home in Methven that can fit you and your mates! Enjoy the two spacious living areas, long dining tables, relax in the sunken conversation pit by the open fire, watching Freeview TV or one of the many films, read or play a game of pool. With our tiered room rate, it can cater for different sized groups of up to 24 people.

Theres so much to do in and around Methven ? skiing/snowboarding, golf, fishing, tramping, mountain biking, high country lakes, hot air ballooning, live music, trotting meets, Mountain Thunder event, sports events and more. In summer there's loads to do from your base - fish in the braided rivers, explore the high country lakes - Coleridge, Camp, Clearwater, Heron, Emma, hike some great walking tracks ranging from 30 minutes to all day, jet boat on the Rakaia River, mountain bike at the Mt Hutt bike park, road cycle around the stunning countryside. Or just relax around the cafes in Methven, chill out and catch up on sleep, read books or dine out. The choice is yours.

The property was good for large groups/youth who are not too fussy or backpacker style.

The property was good for large groups/youth who are not too fussy or backpacker style. It has great shared spaces but all the lower beds were too short for an average male and only just fitted an average female, mattresses were too thin, bedding was cheap and synthetic - felt too pricy for our smaller group for what we got.

A team of 22 women and it was BRILLIANT.

A team of 22 women and it was BRILLIANT. Loved the huge lounges where we could all gather together and the fires were awesome. Tons of hot water and warm beds although maybe the mattresses were a bit thin, but we still slept. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of places to dry wet clothes. Within walking distance to shops and was very quiet.
