The most peaceful cove on the lake!
It was our first trip to Lake Winnie and New Hampshire and so coming from PA, we had to kind of guess at the area of the lake and thankfully we hit the nail on the head. This little home was perfect for our family with three young girls. It had a well stocked kitchen, so it made eating in and spending time together a breeze. The cozy living room felt huge because the view made you feel like the width of Alton Bay was sitting there with you. The bedrooms were also generous in size, very cozy, and had plenty of storage space for the week. The entire house is updated and super clean, in fact the entire property is.
The little beach, walk in water, and dock were wonderful. Our girls loved cruising the cove on the paddle board and kayaks, swimming the day away, fishing, and the dock was perfect for the pontoon we rented for a few days. We had smore's out by the fire in the evenings and coffee out on the deck to watch the sunrise.
The location was great as well. Since we were first timers and try to hit a different state each year it was important for us to nose around the area. We were so close to all the main attractions of the area and loved visiting the Squam Lake nature center that was only about 40 minutes north. Wolfboro was a quick ten minute boat ride across the lake, and the Fun spot was only about 25 minutes away.
Although we did venture out and rent a boat to explore the lake, we could have easily spent the whole time just relaxing in the home, looking out at the beautiful view, and playing in the calm waters. An added bonus are the friendly neighbors, they were warm and inviting, and it was wonderful to hear about the area and the lake through the eyes of the people who live there year round and love it so much.
If your goal is to shut out the buzz of technology and the rush of the world and fully relax and enjoy nature, this is your rental.
Review 12 boat cove rd
We had the most wonderful vacation! We found the rental to be superb. Anything we could have needed was provided. The owners Tina/Mark were outstanding. very accessible, very generous with their time, and all around warm friendly people. Their neighbors on either side were also very friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to be around. I'm sure my wife and I will again rent this wonderful property. I'm just not sure I can wait till next year!
Beautiful home with amazing views of lake from both upper and lower level
Owners were great! They went out of their way to seek our suggestions on any improvements.......we couldn't think of any! The home has ample space and 2 bedrooms with 1 full bath. Has a "brand-new" feel to it as well. We stayed for 7 days with our 4 kids aged 6,8,10 and 12. The bunk room
Accommodated them all perfectly. Although no central air, the home was cool enough with the sliders Open and fans running. The beach and swimming area are sandy, deep water dock allows for "diving in", and Dock length was fine for our 22 foot boat....no submerged rocks to
Worry about in the cove either. Paddle board on premises was great for use in calm
Cove, we caught 10 rock bass fishing in the cove, and neighbors didn't complain once about our noisy kids arguing with each other! We will definitely come back next year.
