Our family loves spending time in the mountains skiing, hiking, and relaxing. As a realtor, Renee loves helping people find their dream homes.
Renee purchased this cottage in 2010
We love Georgetown and the charm of the historic small town. It is close to Denver and skiing and has amazing views.
Since we are not able to be in Georgetown all the time, we decided to rent it out so that other people can enjoy the space and have as much fun as we do.
Relaxing is our number one priority, but we also enjoy the malts at the soda shop, cupcakes from Cake, hiking and walking, playing at City Park, and skiing nearby.
Well we may very well have started a new family tradition of Christmas Market the first weekend of December in Georgetown and staying at the McMichael house. Our girls had a blast and are bummed to go home. The house has been comfy and cozy during highs in the teens and snow! We have made some wonderful family memories that will stay with us forever. Thank you so very much!
Very clean and cozy! Great location and views! Short walk to downtown Georgetown! Would love to stay here again!
My brothers and I have gathered here for the past 2 years for a weekend reunion. We love the nice outdoor patio with lots of seating space and this year really enjoyed the new upgrades with the new kitchen appliances and remodeled bathrooms! There were 3 couples total and there was more than enough room for all of us. It's very conveniently located just blocks from downtown and enjoy walking around beautiful, historical Georgetown from the home. We will definitely hope to keep coming back year after year! Rene has always responded kindly and very quickly to my emails. I would definitely recommend this place!
Eight adults enjoyed our June stay. Georgetown was a charming little town. Could walk to dinner and ice cream. Soft towels. Paper products included. Nice patio. Huge TV. Lots of seating. Recommend.
2nd time to the Cozy Mountain Cottage in Georgetown. Brought another family this time too! Perfect for the 8 of us. Plenty of room and plenty of privacy. Good location. Comfortable. Close to many different ski areas.
My family stayed at this home in Georgetown for our annual ski trip to Colorado. We were hesitant to not stay in Keystone, Dillon, etc. but needed four bedrooms for our party. We arrived after a 12 hour drive and found the home to be warm and inviting. It was nice to have a separate upstairs and downstairs space and an excellent TV set-up to watch March Madness basketball!
The kitchen was equipped well with coffee, spices, pots/pans, etc. I would recommend getting groceries in Idaho Springs, as it has the most selection. It was an easy walk to downtown restaurants and to a nice park. The bathrooms are yet to be updated, but none of us minded and thought they fit the identity of the home. The house was solid and it was nice to put down the toddler for naps/early bedtime knowing that she couldn't hear us downstairs.
I should note that this is a very quiet town. If you are looking for nightlife, this likely is not the rental for you. If you are looking for quick access to the mountains and a nice place to relax, cook, etc., this would be an excellent choice.
The cottage was clean and well kept. The beds and couch were exceptionally comfortable. The linens were in great shape and of good quality. Our family of 9 had plenty of room to roam around the house and everyone had a wonderful time. We are planning a trip back next summer and intend to rent this home again.
Ride the Georgetown Loop train, ski at Loveland in 30 minutes, within 45 minutes of Breckenridge, Winter Park, Vail, Denver.
