Waimanu Mountain Lodge is a 20 minute drive to the fantastic Whakapapa Ski Field. You can see it from your bed as you wake in the morning and you can see the lights of the groomers at night, if the weathers right.
It is a 45 minute drive to the car park at Turoa, another magnificent ski field.
So, listen to the ski report and decide which one you think you want to ski at today.
Or, try to decide if you'll ride your mountain bike on the 42nd traverse, Fishers Track or arrange to cycle the fantastic track to the Bridge to Nowhere.
You may have always wanted to walk the Tongariro Crossing or any of the the other fantastic walks within the National Park.
And then there's the trout fishing. It's all here.
There are tour operators to help you enjoy any of these activities right here in National Park.
The house is within walking distance of a couple of hotels, several restaurants and the ski shop.
This is a fantastic house for two families or a group of friends.
The house has a central shared living area and each end designed for a group of, up to, 7.
Each end has one room with a double bed and another room with bunks and a single bed. Each end also has a shower, toilet and bathroom. The water is hearted by gas, so never runs out. So nice at the end of a busy day.
There is a drying room for that wet ski gear at the end of the day.The cosy wood burner in the lounge has plenty of fire wood and keeps going all night. Lovely in the morning.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and a microwave. There are plenty of everything you need to cook with and eat and drink off.
It has books to read and board games to use on those, stuck inside days.
It has just been recently painted and had some of its appliances replaced. It's a light, modern and cosy house to be in. Our most recent addition is a covered carport with sensor lights to help when you arrive in the night. The woodshed provides you with good dry wood to keep you and your group cozy.

The house suited us well with one wing at each end of the house and a central living area making it a great place to stay with two families. Centrally located in National Park which offers many attractions for outdoor adventures.
Very well set-up bach, with everything you need. We loved it!
Fantastic accommodation with heaps of space for two families to enjoy. And what a spectacular view from the lounge! Had a brilliant time and will definitely choose this place again next time we are down.
The location and property itself was really good for what we needed.
This is a brilliant property for two families. The layout is superb with its two wings. We had one set of parents in each wing and the boys at one end and the girls together in the other bunkroom.
Kitchen is well equipped. Drying room superb. Great fireplace and the place was warm and cosy - even in winter. Lounge is plenty large enough and we even got to watch some sport on Sky!
Only complaint is the hot water which came in and out while showering-we bathed our kids in a plastic tub!
