Thank you so much for enabling us to create such wonderful memories at
your cabin for our honeymoon. We are certainly going to be in touch with
you sometime about a repeat visit!!! My wife and I (wow that is still weird to
say) must thank you for the bottle of wine as that was a very nice gesture.
You have a lovely spot in the middle of an amazing place and we can't wait to
return someday. We also agreed that once we have children it will also be a
great place to bring them as well.
Again, thank you so much for doing what you do. We agreed that it was the
PERFECT honeymoon for us and our little slice of heaven that we know we can
and WILL retreat back to again and again.
An easy 5-star rating here! The cabin was clean, comfortable and cozy. It was exactly what we were looking for, even better than the pictures show. (By the way, thanks Danna for posting my night shot on the site!) The listing description is accurate.
We did some cross country skiing on the golf course located right next door one day and then at the Grafton Ponds Center the next. The snow conditions at the time were better at the golf course! And it's a big area, you can ski for hours. At night we played monopoly (board games are in the house) and watched a couple of movies that were supplied.
If you are looking to get away and be in a quiet woodsy setting without the distraction of cable tv or internet or cell phones (we were!) then definitely book this cabin.
Thanks for the good memories for our first Christmas together!
The cabin has everything you need. It is beautifully decorated and well maintained. There are lots of trails nearby and our kids found great sledding spots! No wi-Fi which is a plus for a true getaway. Great warm wood burning stove and lots of chopped wood. Such a special place!!!
We actually stayed here in October of 2010. My husband and I, our then 10 month son and my husbands parents. This place is amazing. My dream getaway. Absolutly beautiful inside and out. They have the cutest country markets nearby and at night it was a great way to really get to know one another because its quiet and not much else to do. My in laws have never been in the country before then. It was there first fire outside in the fire pit and inside was uoer cozy with the wood stove. We got a couple bottles of wine and talked and laughed all night. My favorite was coffee on the front porch swing with my mother in law, wrapped up in blankets and enjoying the fresh crisp clean air. The owners are very good and attentive and so is the caretaker. I am planning a return trip soon and its all I think about when I daydream. Our son is now 4 and we have a 3 yo daughter and im so excited to bring them here amd show them good ol country living. The bunk beds will be so cool to them.
We rented your cabin for 4 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Every morning, my husband and I drink our coffee out on your deck, while listening to the babbling brook and watching the sunrise. What a wonderful way to start the day! Our 7-year-old son loved the bunk bed and the porch swing, and we enjoyed some of your card games that you had provided. We loved the decor that made the cabin feel "homey," so much better than a hotel. We'd love to come back again!
The cottage is adorable inside and out! It is very nicely decorated. Great little touches everywhere you look! It is so nicely stocked with all the neccessities plus some more delightful surprises. Great location. Beautiful golf course nearby made me wish I was a golfer! The owner is kind and very attentive, as is the caretaker. We loved staying here, family of 5.
We stayed at Whispering Pines in August for 2 weeks, shortly before Hurricane Irene hit the region. We're so glad to see the property is up and running, and apparently has survived no worse for wear. This place is absolutely charming, so comfortable and thoughtfully furnished and well-maintained. It was exactly what we needed to escape our hectic and nature-deprived lives in the city. Nearby Lowell Lake is fabulous for hiking and swimming. Local farmers' markets are great. We did a whole lot of nuthin', which was just what the doctor ordered. Also, the owner is extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you! We hope to be back!
