Totally redecorated 1899 miners cottage, light and airy but retains old NZ character with exposed Matai flooring, Kauri doors and general layout. Very cosy feel. Central living area characterful and comfortable with new, easy-to-light woodburner that heats the whole house quickly. Kitchen/dining area well-equipped and bright. Watch the waves from either area! 3 goodsize bedrooms, 1 king, 1 queen and 2 singles, all comfortable. Bathroom is modern with shub, shower and heated towelrail. Separate toilet. Internet available.
Friendly neighbours are local residents, one of whom keeps the lawns cut.
Sheltered grassy backgarden, fenced and gated. Room to play eg badminton, volleyball. Wooden picnic table with view out to sea.
Long, wide, flat beach with firm sand 100 metres away. Easy walking for miles up and down the beach, often to yourself. A walk North up the beach with wellies (provided) or jandals, crossing 2 shallow streams and back through Granity village takes an hour.

Very clean tidy property .... had a great time ..
The only negative: ..beds on the soft side for me though
What a great place to experience the West Coast. A lovely cottage that was clean and warm. Wonderful to be able to take our family dog , for walking and biking. Highly recommend the Charming Creek Walk, it was an easy walk with fantastic scenery that was ever changing. We definately be back as there is soooo much more to explore.
Great location in Granity with the magnificent Tasman sea crashing away at the bottom of the garden. The bach is reminiscent of childhood bach holidays, tidy and cosy but a bit tired which is what gives a bach that being on holiday feel . Was nice to be able to have our dog with us and we enjoyed exploring the nearby semi ghost towns of Millerton and Denniston. Would definitely recommend Wavewatch as a good value holiday retreat in Granity.
A lovely affordable retreat close to the beach and great walks. We had a perfect family getaway, nice and toasty inside with the fire going. Comfortable with everything we needed. Good local information provided by the manager and owner. Thank you.
Great place to stay, thanks for having us
