Quintessential Kiwi bach built on a rising bank a skip and a step to a golden sandy beach. Glass doors fold back, opening main room to seascape, honestly the best view on the beach! Safe swimming directly infront of the cottage, with rock pools at beach ends which are great for exploring and snorkelling at low tide for paua gathering. Great walks to either ends of the beach. If you have a boat you can launch at Ferry Bay which is a natural breakwater. Great fishing for Kahawai and Gurnard as well as setting pots and diving for crayfish. Telephone but .. no TV, no close stores, but lots of peace, quiet and beauty. Games.. Puzzles...Books..Music.... Heaven!
Smoking outside only
NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels);
Short walk to great swimming beach
Very enjoyable, nice break from home and so close to the ocean. Great beach.Really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again.
Owesome property loved it had a great weekend. Just a shame that the radio didn't work
Lovely quiet location. Further from local shops than expected - make sure you take all your provisions with you! Very relaxing quiet holiday
Tui's in the flowering flax, Pohutukawa waiting for Christmas. Perfect.
Perfect example of a kiwi beach bach, charming, full of the owner's character, small and efficient fire for cozy evenings, outstanding views from kitchen through the dining and right out the wide front steps to the ocean beyond. Lovely native plantings offer total privacy and shelter, not to mention lush beauty.
