Aroha Cottage is filled with art, photos and treasures from our travels. With a new kitchen and bathroom, cosy wood burner for winter, fabulous private garden, huge deck, quiet beach and free wifi, it is perfect for couples and overseas tourists.
The cottage is only 50 meters from Kina Beach, start the day down at the beach watching the sunrise over Nelson.
Situated halfway between Nelson and The Abel Tasman National Park, Kina Beach is a quiet seaside community yet shops and cafes are only minutes away.
Motueka township is 10 minutes drive with 2 large supermarkets and all the other facilities you could possibly need. Mapua is only 10 minutes in the other direction with Boutique Breweries, Art and Craft shops and Restaurants overlooking the harbour. We also have our local Tasman store for local wine, olive oil and basic supplies.
Perfectly positioned for visiting both Nelson and The Abel Tasman National Park, famous for its great walks and stunning scenery. Kayaking and walking is the popular way to see the park, but for the slightly less energetic, take a boat trip instead.
The Tasman cycle trail is at the end of the road.
The challenging Tasman Golf Club, 1km past the gate, welcomes visitors. Not a golfer..... its worth the walk or drive, for the stunning views over Tasman bay and the bar might be open!
With safe swimming, boating, and fishing, plus award winning local vineyards and cafes, Kina Beach really is the perfect holiday location.
Kina Beach is only a 25minute drive from Nelson airport.

A very cute character cottage. A special place to stay. The best equipped bach we've stayed in for many years (it even had sharp knives!).
A little slice of heaven. A gorgeous wee house in a beautiful spot.
We spent some very relaxing days at Aroha from where you can perfectly explore Abel Tasman and the region around Nelson. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed and we really felt at home. There are many lovely details. And the garden is absolutely wonderful.
Perfect kiwi bach just steps from a glorious beach. We stayed here in mostly rainy, chilly weather and the firebox does indeed heat the entire place in minutes. And the Nelson sun shines through for beach walks And in summer, it would be fabulous here -- outdiir deck with table in a sweet garden out the back.
The cottage had everything we required. It was clean, comfortable, warm and well equipped. The garden was beautiful and it had a lemon tree for our Gin and Tonics. The beach is just round the corner. Great location and we would highly recommend the owner, Lou and this gorgeous cottage.
Great location for the beach!
Also a good location if you want to cover the wider area of Nelson and the bays. Handy to Mapua and Motueka. Easy drive to Richmond and Nelson.
