This beautiful home sits on 10 acres on the Saco river in Maine. Built in 2001, this home features beautiful woodwork and hardwood floors. Just installed- an outdoor hot tub outside on the deck with a roof. The family room boasts a cathedral ceiling and dramatic floor to ceiling windows. A woodstove and ceiling fan completes this room. The kitchen has tile floors, granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances and a separate dining area with slider out to one of the large decks. The master bedroom suite is on the first floor with a full bath. Two more bedrooms are on the second floor with another full bath. There is also a washer and dryer in the house. We have just added wireless internet service and a telephone.
The river is approximately 400 feet from the house. The property is very wooded and there is 650 feet of river frontage on the property. The Saco River is extremely clean for swimming and has a sandy bottom. It is a wooded river bank setting.

My family truly enjoyed this home. The listing is very accurate and the owners very responsive. The house is very nice, has everything you need for a home away from home experience. We had more than enough room for a family of 5 and good beds to sleep on. We spent a lot of time just hanging out and enjoying the house and river. Bring bug spray!
No A/C. We had one hot night that we would have preferred to be cooler but otherwise this had no impact on our trip. The house has fans for bed rooms and living room.
DVD player is old and didn't want to play the movies we brought. But the direct tv worked and WIFI kept the kids busy during downtime.
All in all a great place that I would recommend. We're looking forward to returning for a fall or winter trip next time around.
Second year in a row, full summer week at this nice house.
Again, all clean, can't complain! House is well equipped, well maintained, and this year the river level was pretty low, which allow us to swim there everyday! Superb sandy bottom, we even caught some fishes there!
Owners are easy to reach, listen to us, made all they could to give us the perfect vacations!
Probably heading for a third summer there next year!
Thanks for sharing this beauty with us!
I came up here with a few co-workers for a work retreat and we had such an amazing stay! We were looking to get out of the city for a few days to unwind and this gorgeous house could not have been more perfect. Although we may not have been able to afford a beach vacation, the hot tub, grill, and comfortable living areas made for a great vacation. The beds were huge and comfortable, we slept 7 people easily. While we didn't go skiing we did explore the area behind the house and the river and loved the views! The river was so solid you could walk for miles along it. The owners were extremely responsive to my last minute booking and made everything easy for us. I would easily come here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable stay in this area!
Susan and Craig's place in Maine is a fantastic winter getaway. We had a smallish gathering of friends up for a weekend. The snow was great, the hot tub a blessing, and the fireplace a gift.
We romped around in the snow and then warmed up by the fire, with dips in the hot tub in the middle of a snowstorm for added fun.
The house was plenty warm, and kitchen was stocked with everything one needs to cook. Craig and Susan were both extremely responsive to all questions leading up to the house and during, including extending the hours of the stay on Sunday to help manage a snowstorm so we could travel safely.
All in all, a lovely experience!
Had a really nice time at this cute house in the woods... we brought rafts and a cooler down to the river and spent the day tied up to some logs just floating on the water. This place is very secluded and great for getting away from it all. Though there was little to no cell phone service, the wireless internet at the house was great and we were able to stay in touch with the outside world.
We had a marvelous family vacationweek there!
The house is clean, nice and well-equiped. The area surrounding the house is quiet and far from (about) everything! (except by the end of the day, near the river, there is a campground on the other side of the river that might be a bit noisy, sometimes). But everything was perfect!
We had a problem with the hottub, but the owners were pretty quick to answer, and I finally managed to fix everything thanks to an awesome hardware store team, in Bridgton, so we could enjoy it for the whole week.
If you plan on buying stuff at grocery, better get to Bridgton (Hannaford) than the Thriftway in Fryeburg, which is insanely expensive and pretty small....
Close from North Conway, 50 min. from the ocean, 45 min from Mt Washington, this house is just perfect, in the middle of everything!!!
We're coming back next year!
Fryeburg, Maine 5 miles, No Conway, NH 15 miles
