Fantastic place to spend anniversary - loved the setting and history of the place. Modern interior very comfortable bed and lounge with open fire. Just off the main road but very quite. Visited some great vineyards nearby - recommend mt roas and brennan (perfect for lunch-they do very good platters). A little disappointed that no river access from accommodation-but other than that everything perfect.
Had a wonderful stay, close to movies at Arrowtown on a wet day, enjoyed the fire! Comfy firm bed.
We spent a fabulous week in this beautifully restored cottage. It was a delight to return "home" after a day of exploring to our tranquil abode. We appreciated the generosity of our near (but far enough away) hosts - mountain bikes, washing machines, maps, great conversation....Definitely a place to return to.
A great place for couples and even with a child or two to stay, very serene and private and well appointed. Very well presented and loved the fact that it has history. Only small criticism would be the couch may need to be on a mat or something as it kept sliding out to a sofa bed while we were sitting on it. But totally recommend.
