Nestled in the woods of Jay, NY is our chalet, a large three bedroom child friendly home. It includes a fully equipped kitchen and large deck where you can use the gas BBQ and dine in total peace and seclusion. There is A/C for summer days as well as two wood burning stoves with abundant wood supply to keep you warm during the winter. There are also three decks that offer beautiful views and gorgeous sunsets. You can also enjoy the game on a 60' big screen TV with or play dome hockey in the recreation room.

There are trails available for hiking and cross country skiing, tennis courts nearby, and snowshoes for you to enjoy. World class fishing is available only a five minute walk to the West Branch of the Au Sable River. A public family beach on Lake Everest is only a ten minute drive away. A fifteen minute drive will bring you to Whiteface, Mountain, home of the largest vertical skiing in the East and home to skiing events from the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid.

This home is equipped with High Speed Internet access.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a great week at your beautiful home. We saw a deer everyday on our in or out. The kids had a great time. There was so much to do -- we saw the ski events, toured the Olympic museum and rode the bobsled! That was definitely an experience the kids will never forget! The weather was perfect everyday. We had a nice lunch down at the river as well.

Thank you for allowing us to use your wonderful home! It is cozy, warm, inviting, and very clean.

Perfect chalet!!

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 10 (2 families with 4 adults and 6 childrens) loved this wonderful chalet! Very clean, cozy, with all the amenities that we need and plenty of space for everyone. We loved the recreation room with the big screen tv and the games for the kids. They spent some time there while we, the adults, were eating dinner with a nice fire going on in the burning stove. The bedrooms are large and have enough place to sleep and to put out hiking stock in it. The kitchen is very well equiped and the we able to sit all the 10 of us at the kitchen table! The owners are very nice and quick responding to our questions! We will definitely look forward to rent it again next year!

perfect for our needs

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at this house for the last 3 years during Ironman weekend. We are a family of 4 plus a dog and this house and location suits us wondefully. The owners are very responsive to our needs. The house is kept in immaculate condition and the furnishings are very comfortable . All appliances work very well, the kitchen is well equipped, and the location of the house is perfect for us.

So much fun!

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect house for bringing two families together! There was a ton of space for everyone. We found everything we needed to feed a big group in the kitchen. We had some issues with the TV but the caretaker came right over and helped us out. We are hoping to return next year!

Cozy, clean, welcoming chalet!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the chalet with 4 adults and 4 kids for a week long ski vacation over February break. We skiied Whiteface, and spent time in Lake Placid. The kids ages ranged from 9 months to 14 years old and everyone was well accommodated and super comfortable. The chalet is pristine and very well equipped to handle groups this size. We cooked every morning and night and even barbecued. Sandra and Howard were great as well! Very quick in responding to any questions we had, overall a great experience - we highly recommend and look forward to returning ourselves!
