Wonderful to be outdoors. Very clean campus and well maintained grounds. My only complaint was the teepee was stuffy and the windows did not open for fresh air. We will be returning~ hopefully the window will open next time!

Reviewer Comments:

The tipi was great, it was spacious and comfortable. There was firewood available, which really saved us because we forgot to pick some up. Bathrooms were very well designed and clean. The creek was beautiful and the free use of the kayaks and paddle boards was awesome. The game room was fun, we really enjoyed playing ping pong! The tipi was a bit humid, but not terrible. The hot tub looked a bit dirty so we didn't use it.

Reviewer Comments:

It was great, the place is awesome in overall. Just don't go by the pictures, otherwise you will be disapointed. It shows a lake and we did not see any lake around what so ever. The place inside the only thing clean it looks like was the bed sheets, all kitchen appliances were very nasty dirty. Would love to return by spring time were everything is green and pretty as the picture shows, but only if I knew the kitchen item were clean!

Reviewer Comments:

I loved the idea of the teepees, camping with more modern amenities, but sadly GCR fell short. Teepee 0 door locked us out and we were forced to sit outside in the cold for an hour awaiting the maintenance man, after 4 calls for rescue. He arrived, drunk, and was very combative and told us to leave the door open, once he was able to get us back in. Not to mention that he pulled up 5 different times and left before actually coming to approach us, clearly too drunk to realize he was in the right place. Another set of campers had a similar issue, so maintenance is clearly being mishandled regularly. Our teepee had a "peephole" on the door that was about 4"x4" and the latch was broken, so we can to rig it to keep it closed to keep critters out and for privacy. There is no deadbolt on the inside, just a number pad on the outside, so you are not secure once inside. We used the sofa pushed against the door. The Velcro had worn on the window flap, so it flapped all night and rained inside onto the middle bed. Our bathroom was so molded out that you couldn't bear to stand in there, and you could see black mold everywhere. The floor is so molded that you actually sink when you walk in. The shower curtain was on the floor when we arrived and the bathroom door didn't lock! I will say that being charged for 2 nights, and only staying 1, seems quite excessive, considering they were not booked up and it was the week before Christmas. The gameroom has seen better days, and no one would touch that hot tub. The teepees surround a small body of water, but it is a very small property. We heard the canoes were fun, but there are no walking trails. The beds were comfortable and everything you need was provided. It was clean inside the teepee aside from dusty dishes. It needs better lighting outside for grilling at night, but the firepit was great and there was plenty of seating outdoors for games and chatting.
