Georges Desseyn purchased this villa in 2008
Inverness is a very nice little town in central Florida amidst beautiful nature. You don't have the hustle and bustle of the big cities and tourist centers but it is yet only an hours drive from the theme parks in Orlando or the beautifull beaches at the gulf of Mexico. There are numerous golf courses in and around Inverness, a bike trail, fantastic fishing...

Very well laid out. Nice neighborhood. Everything is there for what I needed. It is in a good location and I will come back next year
The property was clean, well maintained and clean. We had one issue that was not the fault of the owner or condition of the property. We smelled natural gas coming from the gas meter on the outide of the house. After contacting the property manager, he took complete ownership of the problem and worked with the natural gas company to get the gas turned off and the leak repaired immediately. Very professional property management company.
This is a great house in a nice, quiet neighborhood. The pool was beautiful and we really enjoyed the surrounding patio that had plenty of seating and tables. The kitchen had all the conveniences and the bathrooms, especially the master bath, were very nice. The living room furniture was very comfortable. We all felt the beds were kind of hard, but that's probably just personal preference. The house was clean and inviting. The owner and the property manager are very nice and easy to communicate with. We stayed in Inverness to visit family, and I hope to book this house again for future visits. Highly recommend!
Our family has been coming here for 4 years...great house...great pool and great service...would recommend to anyone
The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The house was convenient to our needs. I do however have a few negatives regarding the cleanliness of the rental home. The carpet is covered in stains and I never felt comfortable walking with bare feet on it, the furniture still had dust/ dirt and trash noticeable under furniture, and a few hairs found on nightstand and bed. I have a toddler and I cringed when she played in the floor. The pool was supposed to be heated but I only got in the pool once as it was too cold. It was not enjoyable to me however my husband did enjoy it. I am sorry to write negative reviews but unfortunately I will not be staying at this house in the future. -Septemeber 2016.
My family and I just spent one week at this vacation rental. The house is exactly as pictured. Although there is not much to do in Inverness itself, we chose this location since it was centrally located in all directions. You are very close to both the east and west coast, as well as things to do in and around Inverness, particularly in Ocala. The home is very large and roomy with 3 bedrooms and one bath on one side of the house, and the master bed and bath on the opposite side of the house. We were never in each other's way and felt right at home here. The pool and pool area is gorgeous and inviting. There are steps on the east end of the pool that extend almost the entire width of the pool, which is great for just sitting in the water and cooling off if you don't really want to swim. The a/c works great and it was extremely hot the week we were here. It was always very comfortable. It also rained a lot while we were here and just spent some days in the house playing board games. It was a great trip and my kids and grandkids had so much fun and really loved this home. You MUST do an airboat ride while you are here. I highly recommend Tom & Jerry's Airboat. Lastly, I can not say enough about the owner, Georges. He was fantastic from the beginning of this process through the end. He was always available via email to answer any questions that I had (and trust me, I had many). He was very patient, kind, and attentive and always got back to me within 24 hours or less. I would highly recommend this home.
Inverness is about beautful nature and relaxing. It is surrounded by lakes famous for its fishing and boating, the closest one being a 2 minutes drive from the villa where boat rental is available.
Look at the crane birds visiting our yard.
Have a ride on the Whitlacouchee bike path, probably Florida's best bike trail. The stretch from to villa to downtown Inverness is wonderfull, passing along lakes and parks (Liberty Park, Wallace Brooks Park). Bike rental available through my property manager.
Drive to Homosassa springs and have a drink at The Shed: beautiful view of the Homossasa rivier with Pelicans, dolfins... There is a band playing on weekends.
Eat seafood in one of the restaurants in Homosassa Springs. The Freezer is known for it's hughe portions of steamed shrimps.
Rent a pontoon boat and spend a day on the Homosassa rivier and the Golf of Mexico.
Want to visit the theme parks: Inverness is only a 75 minutes drive from Orlando (Disney, Universal...) or Tampa (Bush Gardens)
Spend a day at Pine Island beach which is kids friendly and has a tiki bar.
Want the authentic beach life? Head for clearwater beach: wilde long beaches, rentals, shops and restaurants.
