Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a websitecould be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
This home has a great location! The beach is a straight shot from the house. You can see the beach out the front windows. The house has a fireplace for a warm cozy feel. The house is cute and modern. One thing we were so happy about was the carport. It was pooring rain when we arrived and we were not looking forward to getting soaked while bringing in our luggage. But when we pulled up and saw the covered carport we were really excited! The house is also about a minute drive from a very nice grocery store and short drive to all the shops and restaurants. Overall it was a great experience.
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The space was perfect for us with a fully furnished kitchen, two bedrooms, a bathroom and living space. We enjoyed being able to make our own breakfast and dinners while looking across the street to the ocean. It is just across the street from a beach access and a 5 min. walk down the beach to Haystack Rock. There was a great little grocery store just 5 min away, and only 5 minutes into downtown Cannon Beach for shopping, restaurants, and breweries. I would say this space would accommodate up to 4 people, with two queen size beds and 1 bathroom.
We highly recommend Cannon Beach Cafe and Castaway if you are looking for a great meal and great service.
The listing said it sleeps 6 but we were hard pressed to find extra bedding to sleep our 5th person on the couch. I don't know where the 6th person would have been expected to sleep. Otherwise our stay was fantastic!
The house was clean and spacious. We were there on a hot day 90F so it was very hot inside but with the fans provided in the house, we were fine. The beach is just a short walk from the house. The hay stack rock is not too far from my two year old to walk there too. There are beach chairs and umbrella in the closet for guests to use. I like that. We use umbrella while watching our kids played on the beach. Bakery down the street is very good, we grabbed our breakfast from there. All in all, it was a pleasant stay.
Great location just a half block from gorgeous Cannon Beach! This property is compact, cutely decorated, and offers nearly everything you need. We have not stayed at a Vacasa property before, and we would recommend adding some nice touches like beach towels, beach chairs, and supplying nicer bath towels to upgrade the experience. The beds were also a bit old/squeaky but comfortable.
We had five people in our party (one on the couch), but would recommend a maximum of four. The couch is soft but smells a bit like wet dog when sleeping on it (the one disadvantage of a pet friendly spot). Extra sheets and towels had to be requested but were provided in a timely manner. We would stay here again!
Very nice house and value for the cost. Clean, well kept and great ocean view. Could use a few more dishes, but relatively well stocked. As others have noted, the house is situated right in front of other house, which makes for an awkward yard/parking situation, but we knew that going into it and it really didn't bother us. One thing I would call out if you are staying there in the summer months -- the house only has 4 windows that open, which means it got pretty stuffy/hot. There are a lot of fans available, but if you are someone that likes a lot of open windows/fresh air, this may not be the place for you.
