Fantastic Location

  • 4 of 5

Everything met our expectations for this property and check in/out was smooth. We loved the location on the side of the hill above the creek. The hiking and swimming were amazing and I would stay there again for that reason alone. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was there. The pull out sofa could use an update. Also, there are many many stairs to climb up to the front door which could be a problem for some. There is traffic noise during the day, but it dies down at night. Overall, I was pleased.

Extremely Clean, Lovely Location, Accessible to Everything Boulder

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and our two children (9 and 13) just returned home to Florida after 2 weeks in Colorado. We spent the last five nights at this location. It was our favorite location of our trip. The listing description was perfect; we were within a mile to Pearl Street Mall, across the street from Boulder Creek and the Boulder Creek Path, and within very easy driving to anything else Boulder! Although we were in Boulder, we were in the foothills, so we could enjoy looking down on the city and being somewhat away from it all. Barry provided bikes for us so we biked all the paths through Boulder; a lovely experience. I ran down the path one day and another day, we rented tubes and tubed down the creek. The house was extremely clean and well maintained. When we arrived there was fresh flowers in a vase and a case of bottled water. I would highly recommend this location to anyone visiting Boulder. We wanted to be close to town so we could walk through campus and enjoy Pearl Street mall and the street performers but wanted to be in nature. This property had it all! When we return to Boulder, we will certainly rent this property again.

This was an outstanding spot to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was great! It was a little quirky in it's layout, likely due to the way it was built into the hill, but that added to the charm. Everything was clean and well-maintained and/or updated.

The deck on the front was a great place to enjoy morning coffee, watching the sun come up over the hills. Beautiful views. You can always hear the river running across the road, and the park makes for a great evening walk with paved walkways.

Most every review has mentioned the stairs. Yes - there are some stairs to climb. We admittedly were breathing a little hard after hustling our luggage up, but after the first trip, learned to take it a little easier climbing up. If you have limited mobility, this may not be the place for you, but on a fitness scale of 1 to 10, I'm definitely not a 10, and could manage it quite easily.

The bedroom was plenty big and the bed quite comfortable.

Location-wise, it was a little far for us to walk down to Pearl St, so we drove in. Part of that was due to some unseasonably hot temps while we were there. If we were slightly more ambitious, the bikes that are provided would have been a good alternative.

Speaking of the heat, there are a couple of air conditioners, which helped with that heat!

The only potential negative, and this is more of a trade-off, is the distance down to Pearl St. For many, that walk may not be an issue at all. And the benefit of being on the edge of town is the feeling of seclusion and being in the hills.

The owner did a good job of keeping in touch before our stay, and contacted us during our stay to make sure things were good.

I'd highly recommend it!
