Great Place!

  • 4 of 5

My wife, 2-year old son, dog, and I stayed here and had an excellent time. Barry (the owner) was great. The location was perfect and the view was amazing. The clime up to the cabin was tough with luggage and toddler and there was nowhere for my dog to do his business without risking falling down the mountain side, but I knew all of this going in so I can't hold that against the property. However, I did have to dock it one star because the bed, couch, and living room chair were all very uncomfortable and, being prone to back problems, that was an major issue for me. Aside from that, this property was excellent; very clean and had everything we needed.

Mountain-like setting but not exactly peaceful.

  • 4 of 5

The property is located in a beautiful canyon surrounded by boulders and trees. The cabin is beautiful inside and has had extensive updates. The hike up the long staircase is worth the view. The downside is that the street below is extremely busy and difficult to cross on foot or when pulling out of the property. Also, the craziness that ensued over the 4th of July at the park across the street was a bit disturbing (trash thrown from vehicles, loud drunkenness, and individuals urinating in the parking areas where our car was located. None of this is the fault of the owner! But if you are looking for a quite cabin to "chill out," this is not that location. We were glad that we had day trips that took us out most days and returned in the evening when things settled down. The owner was wonderful and very attentive, and we very much appreciated his hospitality. Lots of fun things to do in the area!

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Quiet, safe, private, walkable to everything via the trail. Stayed five days, hiked several trails, no car, no need. The steps could be an issue if you are out of shape. The cabin is well equipped. All is as stated. Will definitely book again. Great view from the porch. Just loved this place.

Beautiful view, great location to Pearl Street, hiking and river walk

  • 5 of 5

We were a group of 4 gals (mom, daughter, BFF and aunt) celebrating HS graduation. We wanted a central location to attend a concert at Red Rocks while also being close for hiking and Pearl Street. This was the perfect cabin for us! The view is spectacular - keep in mind there are 65 stairs to climb to be able to have that view - so dont forget anything in your car:)!! Easy walk to and from Pearl Street. Beautiful creek/river just across the street so you will enjoy the river sounds in the evening. During the day the the street in front of cabin can get busy but very quiet at night. Barry was an awesome host, easy to reach and even had fresh flowers to welcome us! The place is very clean and cozy and the bathroom and shower were a nice size for us to share. The only recommendations I would add would be a channel guide for the TV and a guide for the light switches by the front door - it was hard to figure out what switch turned on what light. I would highly recommend Barry's cabin to anyone looking for a Boulder get away!!!
