Beautiful location and very comfortable

  • 5 of 5

On my first visit to TX I was fortunate to find this terrific cottage in Waco. It is located in such a beautiful neighborhood. It is very comfortable and quiet. I loved the beautiful landscaping. I also loved the grand floor to ceiling window in the bathroom looking out to nature. I highly recommend this cottage to all who visit Waco. Thank you for making my visit to Waco so comfortable!

Amazing!! What an awesome oasis in the middle of Waco!

Owners thought of everything! My wife loved all the different ways they repurposed things throughout the Cottage and throughout the grounds. She is already trying to plan a girls trip for next year and incorporate the Airstream!! Loved the dogs, loved having the treats for the dogs. Loved the remote for the front gate. Just a great private getaway once you are inside the gates. Cannot thing of a single negative and would highly recommend. Owners were very helpful with local attractions and the welcome package they send is perfect and has a ton of information. Thanks for everything!!

Great cottage and grounds

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here three nights and loved it. This is so much more fun than staying in a normal hotel. The cottage is very comfortable. The interior decorating is really fun and creative. Our hosts were really nice, both the human ones and the canine ones. If you have time, take a walk through the neighborhood. There are some great old homes here.

Tranquil Place Near The Heart of Waco, Texas

  • 5 of 5

We were able to relax and refresh in this urban oasis. The property is quiet both in the cottage and around the grounds. We were not interrupted while drinking cup of coffee while sitting in one of several locations along the paths or under a shelter. There are places for being in the sun or being shaded. There were no restrictions on entering or leaving the property at any time during our stay. We also benefited from the list of possible places to visit in the general area. There are magnificent places such as the nearby Cameron Park Zoo, Mammoth Monument, and Homestead Heritage.

Oasis for mind, body, & spirit!

  • 5 of 5

Heard this area, in some years past, was not the safest for visitors. Thanks to great improvements put forth by the City, the residents, & interest from visitors, this area is now a treat for all to enjoy the fabulous hiking trails & park areas that only Cameron Park could provide! Thanks to our fabulous hosts at the Cottage of Cameron Park, we were able to utilize their well equipped bicycles to ride along the trails of Cameron Park and see the sights along the Brazos River like no other. We drove about a half a mile to Jacob's Ladder Park, climbed "Jacob's Ladder" a couple of times (just for the challenge), then rode our bikes all along the Brazos River to downtown and back, enjoying all the sites & historic aspects that this incredible park has to offer.

Our rental, Cameron Park Cottage, was exceptional! We felt a great peace in this gated property which gains grace by it's magnificent Live Oaks and is found bordered with a thickett of bamboo trees. Eclectic artwork gives gravity to define the nature of this treasured property & provides a smile at every turn. Within the protection & shade of these great oak branches, there are many nooks providing areas for relaxation, meditation, & reflection. In addition, you will find outdoor fun like washer toss and horseshoes.

The cottage was cozy & full of eclectic interest, yet contained the modern necessities for the standards today. The kitchen accoutrements were minimal but with a coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, mini fridge, & the many grills and smokers about the property, there were plenty opportunities to enjoy cooking as if you were home.

I have to say, my favorite part would be the fabulously sweet & friendly rescue dogs their owners have found & now thrive within this incredible property. These pups know exactly where to go once you arrive & find the cannister of doggy snacks provided in the cottage! Watch out! Once you share those treats, you will create a friend for life!! They were so sweet, we could not resist & had one of them sleeping on my lap in front of an outdoor Pinon wood fire by the end of the first night!

Overall, this was a delightful visit and a great place to stay for a mini vacation. Hope you enjoy it as well as we did!
