GRAYT Location!

We love staying in Gulf Trace and this house was great for our family. This house has that old Grayton charm which we love. The short walk to the beach made this house that much better. The views are great and we would most certainly come back again and stay in this house with Sterling Resorts.

The Sterling staff were quite nice and easy to work/plan with. This property however Definitely infested with cockroaches as stated by first review. I've honestly never seen them that big before. I had already paid when I read their review so it was too late. One crawled out of the couch on to my husband's head. Was hard to fall asleep thinking about it. Proximity to the beach was nice but certainly would have left if it wasn't for the kids and the $3000 we already invested to stay there.

Decent for a beach house

Not the cleanest place, but for being on the beach it's somewhat expected. Plenty of room to spread a large family out. The place is in need of updating, but if you're there for the beach (like we were) and not planning on hanging out or entertaining in the house, it's great. It's a very short walk to the visible beach and a short bike ride to the local eateries and shops. All in all a great place to call home while you're enjoying the beach. We would likely rent again if available for our plans next year.

June 2016 Stay

The first impression was less than stellar. I knew the house was older but when I opened the door the plaster was falling off the wall by the light switch. The furniture in the living room is old and worn and the green couch is gross. There are several spots in the living room where there was obviously a water leak and the plaster is falling off the walls and in the sun room off of the kitchen there is visible mold under the top windows. I called Sterling the evening we arrived and lefts message about our dissatisfaction and never heard back. I checked online and there wasn't much available for 8 people and my 4 kids were already settled so we stayed. The beds were fine except for the king bed downstairs is /was broken. If Sterling called back we would have told them. We were able to get the porch light fixed same day. The basement is creepy/gross and smell of mold and mildew. Smell is really strong.

There are also pretty big roaches in the house. I killed one big one in the bathroom downstairs and you can

Great Location!!!

2nd time using VRBO and so far so good. The property was a great value. Excellent location right across from the beach! Plenty of room for group of 12. Close to shops and restaurants , and most importantly, uncrowded beach so the kiddos had a great time. The property itself is pretty dated. Could use some fixing up. (Leaky ceiling from upstairs bath and also some cracked drywall spots and cracked tiles). Overall however, who goes to the beach to stay indoors. We had a great time and would use again.
