We truly enjoyed our stay at this location. The apartment was clean, fully functional and pleasant. We liked the neighbourhood feel with bakeries, cafes and stores, all within walking distance. We were there during an extreme heat wave, so with the windows wide open, it was a bit noisy, although this is a very small residential-type street. All in all, we were happy to spend our time in this apartment in Paris. Marie, the host was very accommodating and welcoming.
Loved the central location - cute neighborhood with lots of great bistros, walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, metro, and the Seine where you can have a very nice walk down to Notre Dame (with lots of distractions for kids along the way). As an aside, everyone was so nice while we were in Paris (my wife and I and our two young daughters). No haughtiness at all even with our very limited ability to speak French.
The apartment itself is clean and as advertised, though the cracks in the bathroom ceiling are a little unsightly. Being on the second floor (in addition to there being an elevator when we had our luggage) was a plus. The location was quiet and felt very safe.
The owner, Marie, was very nice and very responsive, responding right away when I forgot to get the wifi info. She had the kitchen well stocked with all the basic stuff *and* coffee, which was very nice. Couple of minor suggestions:
- Put together a list of your top five restaurants/cafes. There are so many around, getting some "inside" knowledge on this is invaluable.
- Put curtains on the bedroom window. The glass is reflective, so it's not a matter of privacy (I think :-) ), but there's a street light right outside that shines into the window.
Can't wait to go back to Paris again and we'd definitely ask Marie if her apartment is available next time.
We enjoyed our stay at this flat. It is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance of the Eiffel Tower , Champs Elysee, and Metro stops. The owner was kind and helpful, recommending good restaurants and shopping areas. The apartment was clean and comfortable for our family of 3, with a modern kitchen and washer/dryer. We were a little confused upon arrival, as the flat is on the second floor, but actually for most Americans, would be the third floor as the ground level is floor 0. We were waiting for check in outside the wrong apartment! Fortunately she responded to our text and rescued us! Thank you Marie!
