That's my daughter and I in the photo. We, along with two more big kids of mine, live in Brooklyn. Like most, we have an attraction for the outdoors, woods, and water (besides the City), and find Wellfleet and the Outer Cape as being closest to heaven, with "all of America behind us (him)", as famously attributed to Thoreau. I have made my house available for summer rentals while planning someday to be a resident.

I need not tell you about Wellfleet, I presume. My particular house is quiet, peaceful, and fully in the ambiance of the bay and the shifting tides. You will find our house a home with attractive furnishings, central areas for gathering, and distant areas for privacy.
Being kid-friendly is perhaps unique. We have great space to setup a play area for youngsters, and a full complement of Blocks, Brios, and Legos.
This is the second year we have stayed at David's cottage. It is the same comfortable place that it was last year with a few new amenities including new couches in the living room and new small appliances in the kitchen. We love the private area with almost no traffic , trees, view of the cove and easy walk to Pleasant Point. Cape Cod feels like another world at the right time of the year especially in early spring before school gets out or after Labor Day. There is plenty to do. Have a swim or look for shells on the bay beaches. Nearby Indian Head is perfect for waveless swimming and shell hunting. Hiking around the National Seashore Information Center , The Wellfleet Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary and over Uncle Tim's Bridge to the Island provides a sense of what Cape Cod is all about. Wonderful Restaurants within a five or ten minute drive include Wilson's Tavern, Moby Dick's and Van Rensselaer. For little adventurous and upscale eating try Chatham Bars Inn or Captain Linnel's in Chatham and Orleans. Eat at home and cook on the grill on the wonderful deck. This year when we arrived in the middle of a horrible pollen season both the deck and porch and been throughly cleaned of the yellow snow. Much appreciated as is the all the little things the owners provide like soap, tissues etc.activity hints etc. We''re all ready to return in 2016.
Perfect house for extended family groups or friends wanting both great common spaces and some private area. We had grandparents in a nice room with a private bath on the main floor involving no stairs. My brother and his kids loved the upstairs master/den. My sister and I had the downstairs bedrooms to ourselves. Beautiful view, walking distance to the marsh & beach, very clean and well-stocked with kitchen stuff for "dining in". Quiet, relaxing neighborhood.
I had never been to the quaint town of Wellfleet- and love the area. This rental feels like your "home away from home".
I can only imagine how lovely it will be in the Spring-Summer and Autumn months!
The sunrises are amazing and viewable out of all the windows... The rooms are so spread around, you really feel a sense of your own space in all the well maintained rooms.
Had some problems with the cable tv, the owner was a quick phone call away with help and solved the issue quickly.
Would definitely recommend this property to a friend.

We throughly enjoyed our visit to the cape. We loved the peaceful location on the cove in Wellfleet, with lots of walking trails and beautiful scenery. The house was clean and well equiped for our large group, lots of beds to sleep in, games to play with, and a kitchen well stocked with large pots for big family meals. We loved sitting on the deck, cooking on the grill in the evening and listening to the birds and drinking coffee in the morning. The owners took care of everything we needed. We highly recommend this house.
This is a well located , charming property on a Cove in Wellfleet . The neighborhood is quiet and provides many walking opportunities, including a short walk to Pleasant Point landing. The nearby Indian Neck Beach on Cape Cod Bay provides shallow water for family swimming and shells for searchers.
The house provides three level living with bedrooms and baths on all levels. The open living on the entry level has comfortable furnishings and a sunroom that can double as a play room. The deck is a great place for dining ,listening to birdsong and enjoying the view of the cove. There is a sense of relaxation about the whole place. Wellfleet is well equipped with interesting shops and dining both casual and elegant. There definitely is a small town friendly feel. This was our first time renting on the Cape and we couldn't have chosen a better place. Joan T.
This home is pretty, charming and immaculate. The owners obviously love their vacation home; they anticipated our needs and met our expectations. The rooms are cozy, comfortable and relaxing; the outdoor deck, front porch and property are all well situated and beautiful. The home is centrally located and the neighborhood offers many walking choices. Water views from the house are peaceful and the ocean beaches are easily accessible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this house.

The cleaning fee assumes that the house and kitchen is picked up and as tidy as it was found. The Optional Recycle Run is to transfer all garbage and recyclables to the Transfer Station at the end of the week. This still requires tenants to sort and leave garbage and recyclables in the garage.
