Because it is so damn comfortable and perfect for entertaining / relaxing. Also, Ocean Beach is one of San Diego's most eclectic, peaceful, and dynamic coastal communities. The sunsets are spectacular. OB has many fantastic independently owned restaurants, antique shops, and has the best Farmer's market in San Diego. The beach has a pier with a restaurant, good waves, and many fun bars. OB is centrally located near the Gaslamp, PETCO stadium, SeaWorld, the Zoo and Balboa Park.
The ocean breeze that flows up the hill is magical and will help you get a great nights sleep. Bicycles are provided for your use. Also, we have many beach type items for you to use.
We've stayed here several times and it really is a home away from home. Scott is a wonderful host and the apartment is always spotless and comfortable. Thank you Scott and we hope to see you soon!
Casita De 7 Palmeras is a fun, comfortable getaway spot for couples looking for centrally located accommodation in San Diego... go north to La Jolla or Pacific Beach or go south to the Gas Lamp District or Coronado... all are easy drives or reasonable Uber rides... walking distance to breakfast, and a calorie burning uphill walk back to the Casita.... Scott (owner) could not be more friendly and helpful... and he lives in the house in front... private entry thru the back alley...
We were immediately pleased upon arrival. Just our style, modern and stylish, super clean , semi- hidden, private, just a few streets away from the main town and Nice & Quiet. AMAZING panoramic view from the roof top patio. Scott made getting settled in a breeze. Completely hospitable... He knows (and everyone else in the travel logs) how great this place is and he's happy to have people who appreciate it. He had great advice on things to do and places to eat locally..Open the windows and doors, turn on the BOSE surround sound, Crack a bottle or 3 of wine and relax and enjoy it. Our little daughter loved the roof top hammock and wanted to stay forever. I don't blame her..... So did I. Thanks Scott. All around great stay in Ocean Beach! Will return
We have just returned from a week long stay at the Casita and it was great. The outside space is perfect, whilst the inside has everything you need and is nicely decorated. There is also lots to do in the local area, which is well pointed out in the useful welcome pack. it is also a massive plus having a garage as it means there is no mither with street parking. If we were in San Diego again we would definitely return: Scott is very welcoming, the place is great and we loved San Diego.
Thanks so much!

If you're going to San Diego with a significant other you can't go wrong staying here.
My wife and I stayed at the Casita for a few days in late July. We had a great stay, as everything was up to or beyond advertised. Before the trip corresponding with Scott was quick and easy. He sent a few text during the visit to make sure everything was good too.
The Casita was close to the beach, as we walked there and back. We did take an Uber to Sunset Cliffs (6 minute ride) because we used the chairs that Scott provided. I would recommend checking that out. The house had a lot of amenities to take advantage of, including: movies, beach chairs, boogie boards, bikes, laundry, grill, and a hot tub. The bed was incredibly comfortable too!
Finally, it was easy to get to the airport, zoo, restaurants, shopping, etc.. I would strongly recommend this little getaway!
The Casita is centrally located near downtown SD and many of the best beaches . You will be 5 minutes from Sea World, 12 minutes to the Zoo, 30 minutes to Torrey Pines Gliderport, and 40 minutes to the Wild Animal Park. Downtown OB (Ocean Beach) is a laid back community that is in a wee bit of a time warp. OB is a big supporter of Mom & Pop restaurants which creates a large selection of great unique establishments to choose from. This creates an interesting vibe and a fun environment to explore the area.
