About Bill Saint
Bill and Terri Saint live in Charlotte NC, only 2 hours from the BRMC Cottage. Bill runs a custom home building business in Charlotte and Terri is an interior designer.
Bill Saint purchased this House in 2013
Why Bill Saint chose Boone
After traveling to nearly all of North Carolina's mountain towns and villages, we fell in love with the Blowing Rock and Boone area the most. It wasn't until we passed through the gates of Blue Ridge Mountain Club, did we truly feel like we were in BIG mountains. BRMC is unlike any mountain community we've ever been in - incredible long range views, miles of hiking and graceful roads make it easy to access and at the same time feel like you are in a private luxury resort. The cottage has the most incredible authentic lodge architecture and is just the right size for families and friends to create lasting memories.
What makes this House unique
Sitting on the outdoor deck looking across miles of uninterrupted mountain views, waking up and seeing the same from your bed, feeling like you are in the most intimate mountain lodge you could imagine, walking miles of trails with waterfalls, swimming holes and beautiful nature, are just a few of the things that we come back for each and every time.

Beautiful, perfect home to share with family and friends!
We loved everything about staying in Bill's gorgeous home. From coordinating with us beforehand for packages to arrive (which greeted us inside the door) to his texts to check on us while we were there- everything was incredibly perfect. The home is well-cared for with high end finishes. I was obsessed with the pottery barn rug in the upstairs master. This house was perfect for two families to share because it has almost identical master suites on two separate floors. Our kids screamed with excitement when we surprised them with the game room. All of the spaces are perfect and comfortable and no details are missed. Everything from q-tips to smores ingredients were available. The house is about 20 minutes from all of the stores and restaurants you need in Boone. After the guard gate you drive to what feels like complete seclusion. You can see the pavilion with fireplaces from the front yard and we were the only one's ever around! We went for a hike, made a fire and did smores out there. I wish we had more time. I would have loved to rent ATVs out there but with skiing and record frigid temps it wasn't a good fit for this trip. Next time!! We absolutely loved this rental. Definitely one of our all time favorites!
Thank you so much for your note! So glad you enjoyed so much and we sure hope to have you back again soon!
NOT EXACTLY PROBLEM FREE
We had ideal weather during our 4-day stay in early May. Though the house is clean and attractive, it is not particularly spacious. It is shoulder to shoulder with the houses next door, and was tiered stadium-style with the row of houses in front. There is a lot of construction still underway in the development . . . and, therefore, our days felt less like days of fresh mountain air and more like development dust debris. There were propane gas fume issues with the fireplace in the main living room as well the the stovetop in the kitchen. Though these problems were reported to the owner and service personnel came within hours, the occupants using the upstairs bedroom had a night spent breathing noxious fumes because the outside door to the balcony in that bedroom was not able to the opened. A gracious acknowledgement by the owner of the discomfort caused would have been appreciated.
Thank you for sharing your experience and I'm so sorry to hear you were disappointed.
We do try to ensure we share as much about our home as possible, so guests will know what they are renting. Our home is only 3 bedrooms and the size and 47 photos are listed online, which I hope would have prevented any surprise as to its size.
I am confused as to the construction "dust" - yes, BRMC is a development which will have ongoing home construction and development for a long time. However, all the homes in Watson Gap Park, which is where we are located, both the 4 homes on our level and the 5 on the level below us, have been completed for years, so I'm surprised you would have experienced any dust or debris at our home - I've never experienced that before.
We did have the unfortunate issue with the fireplace. When you contacted me at 5pm, we immediately had the utility company come out on an emergency call, arriving by 7pm to repair. The next morning you called me back to report it was still not corrected, whereby we immediately contacted the utility company and had another crew come out who did correctly determine the issue and fix it. I certainly apologize if we didn't come across with a gracious acknowledgement as I thought I was conveying that and getting the problem solved immediately with after-hours response with crews and always taking your calls.
Again, we regret you did not enjoy and certainly appreciate your feedback.
Beautiful home! Great views. Spacious and well organized.
It’s an amazing house. Loved our stay. No suggestions for a better stay. Will definitely recommend to friends. Thank you for your hospitality.
So great to hear you enjoyed! We hope to have you back again soon.
Thanks for another great family trip!
Beautiful home and great hosts!
So great to have you back again! Thanks for your note and we appreciate you choosing our home each time for your mountain trip.
The best VRBO property we've ever stayed in...could not be any better
Fantastic property , beautiful cottage, well stocked kitchen, very comfortable bed, great hiking..wonderful 4 night stay...hope to come back soon!!
So glad you enjoyed and look forward to having you back again soon! Staying 4 nights is the best - there is always far too much to do and so little time when at BRMC.
Located equal distance between Blowing Rock, NC and Boone, NC. Historic Blowing Rock is a must visit, 15 minutes from the cottage, with outstanding dining options (Bistro Roca is our favorite) and wonderful boutique shops. Walk along Main Street and spend an afternoon enjoying. Boone is also 15 minutes away, with a fun downtown. Must stop is Mast General Store, with a stop for lunch at Our Daily Bread or Proper. Walk along downtown, visit Ap State University, stroll, shop and dine.
