Perfect Property

  • 5 of 5

We do vacation rentals for all of our trips all over the country, and this is by far our favorite home we've found. The house is quite large and well appointed. The location couldn't be better - far enough from the harbor/restaurants/shops to be away from the traffic, but close enough to walk to everything Rockport has to offer. It is right across the street from the beach and the amazing view does not disappoint. The owner was so friendly and provided great customer service. We would absolutely recommend this property and are considering renting again next summer.

Idylic Seaside retreat

  • 5 of 5

We spent a glorious 5 days at this lovely house which is in a very nice neighbourhood away from the centre of town but only 5 minutes walk. The owners have thought of everything you may need and the house was spotlessly clean. Lots of lovely walks close by as well as easy access to the beach. A great house that we will hopefully return to

Amazing vacation by the sea!

  • 5 of 5

My family had such a wonderful time at Maureen's home. We love to cook and the highlight was the spacious, incredibly well equipped kitchen - I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to cook large meals with everything you could possibly need. This home is so well appointed it seems like a full time home rather than a vacation home. The furniture seemed brand new and the decorating was beautiful - making this home very welcoming and easy to relax in. We grilled and ate outside several nights, the yard is the perfect place to unwind.

The house has views of the ocean from all rooms and across the street is a wonderful little path along the water. The walk to Rockport is very quick, there are so many cute shops and restaurants. Historic Salem is a quick drive and the most beautiful beach is only 15 min away, Wingaersheek Beach.

I can't wait to stay at this home again!

Owner's Response: Yes, Wingaersheek is a beautiful beach, although my favorite is Long Beach, just 5 mins away. Best of all, if you don't want to drive, you can cross the street to Old Garden Beach or stroll to Front Beach in downtown Rockport!

Perfect Location! Perfect Place!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, parents and 2 small kids (ages 8 and 1) just came back from an amazing week in Rockport. We did investigate the nearby beaches (really enjoyed Long Beach and while Old Garden Beach wasn't that "beachy" it was perfect for quick dips and rock collecting!) and downtown - but to be honest, we were thrilled with just cooking out in the back yard and having morning coffee in the front yard whilst looking over the ocean. The house included so many amenities - it was like being at home! We are already planning another vacation for next year! Thank you so much!!

Owner's Response: Sounds like you had a wonderful vacation! We would love to have you stay again. I'm happy to hear that you took advantage of the amenities the house has to offer - especially the great view. It's nice to have downtown and the beach within walking distance if you want to venture further, but it's also great just to "stay home and relax"!!

Absolutely wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

This home was in the perfect location on old Garden with a magnificent ocean view. It was very clean and well kept. We had everything we needed to keep our family comfortable the entire stay. We enjoyed walking into town everyday and trolling the Headlands. We have been visiting Rockport for decades. This was the best place we have stayed. The only drawback was that Old Garden Beach has had the sand washed away. But I won't let it subtract from the overall rating because the location was still wonderful.

Owner's Response: What a lovely review from someone who has been visiting Rockport for decades! Thank you :-) We too have noticed this year that Old Garden beach does not have as much sand as normal. While it has more rocks than usual for this time of year, it still has lots of sand for playing and sunbathing (see latest photo entry) Every winter the sand washes away, but (amazingly!!) by Memorial day is back again, making it a really fun beach with lots of sand and interesting rock pools. The harsh winter just past is still taking its toll on our beach, but we know it will return to its former glory. All that sand is just sitting offshore in Sandy Bay!!

Wonderful Vacation at this Beautiful Home!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from our wonderful vacation at this beautiful home in Rockport. The location of this home is A++++. The views are amazing! We sat out everyday on the front lawn taking it all in. My husband used the word peaceful many times in the 7 nights we were there. Our 2 daughters and our dog had a great time too:) There were lots of walks downtown to The Robins Nest for gelato:) We have rented many vacation homes and this is by far the best yet. The owners are also a pleasure to deal with and hopefully we will be back again:)

For over 160 years, people have traveled to Rockport, Cape Ann for our miles of lovely beaches, boulder-strewn paths through woods and glades, and that uncommonly magical light that has inspired painters since Winslow Homer. See Motif No. 1, the most-painted building in the world.

Just an hour's pleasant drive north of Boston, you can enjoy a romantic getaway, exquisite dining and unique shopping experiences. Pristine beaches, historic lighthouses and landmarks, museums, ocean attractions including deep sea fishing, kayaking, sailing, and more.

Rockport's historic attractions bring seacoast history alive with many attractions over 250 years old.

In Rockport, there truly is something for everyone.

From our property you can walk downtown to the historic Bearskin Neck. Visit the many art galleries and specialty stores. Enjoy a concert/event at the Shalin Liu Performance center or a game of golf at Rockport Golf Club. Drive to nearby Gloucester to visit Rocky Neck art colony or take in a whale watching trip. Take the train to Boston (about 65 mins) to take in the city sights. Or just relax on one of the many beaches.
