About Martha Ramage
We live in Texas and can't be at the Cape all the time. I have been there in every month of the year and love each month. The summer has plenty to do - the rest of the year there aren't so many visitors and it is quiet and peaceful.
Martha Ramage purchased this House in 2009
Why Martha Ramage chose Harwich
This house looks brand new and is kept pristine. It is our home and we have set it up with all the amenities of our home in Texas. When I cross the Sagamore Bridge, I breathe a sigh of relief and know that the real world is behind me and paradise is ahead! We have found the people on the Cape very friendly and hospitable - a welcome respite from the pressure of everyday life in a big city.
What makes this House unique
We knew the minute we looked at this house that it needed to be ours. The previous owners built it and for ten years came every summer for two months. It was built with 'good bones and we have loved being in it.

Soooo well stocked!
We absolutely loved this home. So spacious for our 2 families and all our boys. We go on a lot of vacations and this was the most well stocked, thoughtful home ever. The owner was easily accessible.
Wonderful home and Location!
Three couples spent a week in July 2017 (for the 3rd year in a row). The house is well maintained, clean and spacious. The owners could not be more accommodating. We can ride bikes, drive or walk to the beach. We love Red River Beach! In three years I have never taken a shower inside - love that outdoor shower. The kitchen has everything we need to pack for a day at the beach and cook a great dinner. Our week is already booked for 2018! Highly recommend this home.
We have three couples in our party and have rented this property several years and have already reserved again for next year. This home is very well maintained, clean, and equipped, from bicycles to the range of herbs and spices.
Warm hearted and cozy.
This house was amazing; it really made my family feel as if they were at home. The rooms were spacious and plenty of room for everyone. The kids enjoyed being either inside or outside. It was nice to sit on the back deck and just relax and talk. I would rent at this house again. We were staying at this house as we had a family wedding. Although weddings can be time consuming we still found plenty of time to hang at the house.
Great family experience
We really loved our stay! Plenty of room inside and outside for the family. Close to beach and downtown areas. Martha was very accommodating and answered all of our questions promptly. We will definitely be coming back!!!
Perfect home for our family vacation
This is a lovely home in a quiet scenic neighborhood (hydrangeas galour!). It's great for kids with plenty of toys, balls, bikes, swings. The ping pong table in the basement was the scene of nightly tournaments. it's a long walk to the beach (20 minutes) but very pleasant. We drove one car loaded with chairs/coolers etc and small children and the rest of us walked. Beware....There is a parking fee of 20 per day at the beach. My only complaint is that we had to find the sheets and blankets and make up all the beds ourselves. And at the end of the week we were supposed to wash and fold all the towels. That might be typical for cape code?? I have always had laundry built into the cost of home rentals and that would have been my preference. Overall our stay was very very nice and Martha was very accommodating.
We have accumulated a large collection of things to do, favorite places to eat, beaches to go to, and best antique shops. If you want to stay home and eat, the best places to get your fresh seafood and wine, or a great pizza. This is all in a large three ring binder. There is a beach for everyone on the Cape. Fresh water ponds, tidal pools and marshes, gentle beaches, or the pounding surf of the North Atlantic. You can see whales near P town or seals near most beaches. Hiking and biking on the Cape Cod Rail Trail (CCRT), or sky diving at the Chatham airport. Aerial sight seeing tours also available.
