Although this was our first Homeaway experience in NYC, we thought it was very nice.

  • 4 of 5

Plenty of space for a family of five. The condo was clean and had lots of amenities including a washer/dryer. It was very close to Q-96th street subway. Plenty of places to grab eats/drinks. Although we felt safe, there were two nights where the door buzzer rang once around 1:30 am. We ignored it because we were not expecting anyone. The next morning after the second time it happened, we noticed the outer door lock was stuck inside door and the management box, inside the first door, was pried opened. This was concerning but nothing more. We would stay again if we returned in the future.

Owner's Response: Hello thank you for your positive review, I really enjoyed having you and your family. You were gracious guests and kept the apt in great shape. It is a good thing you did not buzz stranger into the building (unfortunately, it is a common tactic amongst petty thieves, they would randomly buzz apartments and hoping someone would buzz them in and then they carry off UPS/FEDEX packages left in the lobby). I also want to clarify the management box in the lobby was pried open by the building super himself. The building management company leaves the super's paycheck in the box and i guess he forgot his key one time so he pried it open to get his paycheck. I will remind the building management company to replace that box or repair it somehow.

one world : fantastic

  • 5 of 5

We stayed nearly a week with our 3 kids.

The penthouse is perfect : bright, spacious, very well furnished.

Location is great too. A few blocks from Line 6 which tales you midtown in 15 minutes. Walk 10 minutes and you hit central park and The reservoir.

Everything is nearby : restaurants, supermarkets, breas and wine.

Seriously to us simply The best deal in NYC .

Thank you so much Jennifer and Nick

Great apartment from which to explore NYC

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was clean, and well laid out. The two terraces both offered views of the river and a place to get away and unwind at night. The apartment was easily accessible to the the subway, central park, and a variety of food/shopping in the neighborhood. The best part was that this was one of the quietest apartments/hotels I have ever stayed in. No building noise and almost no city noise. We felt very comfortable and as a family of 6 (2 adults, 2 pre-teens, 2 seniors) we were able to spread out in the apartment. The food choices in the neighborhood were excellent and the owner & manager were both very helpful with clear instructions and good recommendations for getting around and things to find, eat, visit in the neighborhood. We would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and we would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic new condo, close to many attractions!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 had a great week long stay in this new condo property. The apartment was exactly as shown in pictures. It was airy, spacious and had a ton of natural light. The location was very good as well, we use the public transit system many time (the station was only 2 blocks away) and on several nights we just walked to neighborhood restaurants for drinks and then meals. It rained heavily during our week and to be honest we were a tired from all the sight-seeing so we decided to stay in for a day. I was glad that we rented such a big and comfortable apartment, it made our staying-in extremely enjoyable. We ordered thai delivery and watched movies! We will definitely be back!

Spacious & chic spot in East Harlem

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful appliances & nicely furnished, plenty of space for a family and it's on a private floor. The AC units were having some issues but the maintenance person was prompt & came back multiple times to make sure we were happy. The surrounding neighborhood has multiple options for coffee & a Rite-Aid for common grocery items, plus lots of other stores. During our stay, lots of NY seemed to be under construction, especially this neighborhood!! 2nd Ave is being dug up for a subway line expansion, & a lot of the construction equipment is stored right in front of this unit on 97th. The most noise came from the sirens of the first responders for the Metropolitan Hospital across the major intersection. Ear plugs cannot block out any of their noise! Uber had no issues picking us up or dropping us off. I would bring extra bath towels if you're staying for more than 3 days.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to write us a positive review. Although I am not in the habit of responding to guest reviews, I thought I should clarify a couple things for our potential future visitors. * We have an excellent A/C system in this apartment. Aside from cooling function, the A/C can also work as a fan or dehumidifier. As such, that may be confusing for guests who are not familiar with this type of A/C. Your guests had set the master bedroom A/C mode to "fan only" that's why it was not getting cold. Thank you for acknowledging that our maintenance person responded to your requests promptly. Each time, he went into the apartment, he set the A/C to "cooling" (instead of "fan only") and everything worked fine. * There are 3 bedroom in the apartment. 2 are facing the rear yard (very quiet) and 1 is facing the street which inevitably gets slightly more street noise. There is a hospital nearby however it is a smaller community hospital (emergencies are usually routed to Lenox Hill and Mt Sinai) so they do not get many ambulance calls. When they do, the ambulance sound is muffled by our very good windows (double pane insulated windows filled with argon gas). You have to slide the window panes until you hear a "click" otherwise the windows may appear to be closed but they are not sealed (that's why you experienced noise inside the unit). * We usually provide 8 bath towels, plus smaller sized towels. There is a washer/dryer inside the apartment which our guests can use. There is no need to bring extra bath towels.

Very Pleasant Stay

  • 4 of 5

This apartment was just right for our stay in the city - we enjoyed having so much space, especially out on the terrace! I would definitely book here again next time we are in NYC. It was clean and comfortable and provided everything we needed.
