Uptown/Carrollton House Rental Photos and Description

Uptown Magazine St. New, Open Condo, 2 Stories, High Ceilings

House is in a safe neighborhood with great bars, restaurants and shops blocks away. Renovated in 2013, it has an open concept kitchen, living and dining room on the 1st floor and 2 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs. High ceilings throughout.

Uptown 2 story, 2BR house on Magazine St. New renovation. Open concept. High Ceilings on both floors. Rocking chairs on the porch. Clean, not cluttered. A discount to well-behaved returning guests.

The property shares a wall with our friends and neighbors next door and they have a new baby. Out of respect for them, we ask that you please try to keep quiet at night.

Brand new condo. Remodel completed in 2013. All new furniture. Down pillows and down duvets. Flat screen TV. Two stand up marble and subway tiled showers and one claw foot bathtub. Two stories. Two bedrooms and two full baths upstairs. One king size bed and one queen size bed, one sectional couch. Living room, dining room, kitchen, and half bath downstairs. Cable TV and WiFi included. Washer and dryer. Central AC and heat. Front porch with two rocking chairs overlooking Magazine Street.

On the Magazine Street part of the uptown parade route for some Mardi Gras parades. Approx 5 blocks to Whole Foods and other Magazine Street shops, bars, restaurants. Approx 7 blocks to St. Charles street car. Approx 3 blocks to shops, bars, restaurants on Prytania. Walk to Audubon Park. Minutes to Tulane University and Loyola University. Magazine street bus stop to downtown literally right outside front door. Bus line #11. Great value and surprisingly efficient.

Like any good New Orleans home, there's a great neighborhood bar (Henry's) and an award-winning restaurant (Ivy) on the same block. 2 night minimum, dates flexible.

Free off-street and on-street parking is easy and available.

Please send an inquiry if you have any questions.

The neighborhood is safe and easy to walk to bars, restaurants, and shops on Magazine and Prytania. There's a great neighborhood bar and an award winning restaurant less than a block away. If you want to walk 3 blocks, there are even more excellent options.

The #11 bus line that goes up and down Magazine is the fastest way to get downtown to the French Quarter, Warehouse District, and Central Business District. House to French Quarter takes about 15 minutes. The bus stop is across the street. (website hidden)

The St. Charles streetcar line is about 5 blocks away and is the leisurely way to get downtown. It's about 45 minute ride to get to the French Quarter.

About owner/property manager

Although we currently live in Santa Monica, we purchased this property as our primary home and hope to return full-time sometime soon. We still visit often to visit family and to enjoy the offerings of this great city. When we are not in town, we open up our home for select visitors to experience all the wonderful things New Orleans has to offer.

Great Place, would stay here again!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed here over New Years and it was the absolute perfect property for us. We were two couples and a 9 month old and it accommodated us perfectly. Roberto was a pleasure to work with and was always responsive when we had questions. This property is also within walking distance to several great restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable, classy, clean and good location!

  • 5 of 5

My family came down to New Orleans to get my daughter settled in to Tulane University, which is a short distance away. This property is half of a "shotgun" two story house right on Magazine Street. It is completely renovated and beautifully decorated. The neighborhood is safe and very interesting with many boutiques, restaurants and bars. Despite the location on Magazine Street, we found the property to be quiet at night, making for peaceful sleeping. The owners were very responsive and friendly, and clearly take great pride in their property. My whole family enjoyed staying here and thought it was a great value.

A great way to experience New Orleans

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip to New Orleans, and we came to the city as a college graduation trip for our son. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this beautifully renovated and decorated "double" in a real neighborhood...a school, bar, upscale restaurant, bus stop, and even an auto repair shop can be seen from the front porch. We felt more like residents than tourists. The neighborhood felt safe and was fun to walk and enjoy some of the interesting New Orleans architecture. We were not far from any number of shops and restaurants, as well as the ever important CC's Coffee and Hanson's Sno-Blitz. Magazine St. runs all the way into downtown and the edge of the French Quarter, so the house is in a convenient location to get to the city's tourist points of interest easily either by car or bus. We had a car which helped get us to other great tourist locations such as several nearby plantations and an air boat ride in the swamps. The owner was easily reachable and very accommodating, always ready to help with a few changes and glitches we ran into along the way. I would recommend this unit to anyone who wants to see and be a part of a beautiful, and less hectic, part of New Orleans.

Dream Stay on Magazine

  • 5 of 5

I was blown away by my stay at this beautiful condo. The condo has been beautifully renovated, with stunning floors, paint, bathrooms, moldings, and light fixtures. The ceiling fans alone are dazzling! The condo is also impeccably furnished, with the perfect balance of comfort and taste. The location is perfect for an uptown visitor, within striking distance of our go-to spots (La Boulangerie, Creole Creamery, Surrey's Uptown, and Whole Foods).

On top of it all, Roberto was incredibly attentive to my family's needs as we got adjusted to the neighborhood. We feel privileged that we were able to enjoy this space. Thank you for the wonderful week.

What a BEAUTIFUL Home & Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this beautiful home and we are so happy we did. It is in a great location and within walking distance to restaurants, galleries, shopping, the Audubon Zoo and Whole Foods. While we were there I felt safe enough to run every morning through the neighborhoods and down to the Audubon Park. It is great great choice away from the hustle bustle and parking hassles you often face staying in the French Quarter. We were here during the French Quarter Fest and it was easy to either catch the bus that ran on Magazine or walk to the St. Charles Streetcar in order to get into the French Quarter. The owner is very friendly and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend staying here on your next visit to New Orleans!!!
