Keywords: Comfortable spacious home with enclosed side porch, beautiful raised deck for awesome views. A great place to vacation with a family on an all-sports lake. Enjoy lake front living for a full week. You'll want to come back often.
New for 2016: Central Air, Internet, Satellite TV and we completely remodeled 2 bedrooms.
We also live on the lake, because of the beautiful views and great fishing
Best view of the lake and very quiet setting.
We live in Florida and rented this cottage for three weeks to spend time with our family and grandson. The cottage was extremely clean and well maintained. That is so important especially when you have a little one with you. Rob, Cheryl and Robby their son were the bests hosts ever. They really care that everything is ok and you are having a good time. They were very responsive to any requests like firewood etc that we had. Their customer service was outstanding. They also installed wifi internet and added cable. The Internet was critical for our adult children to be able to work from the cottage, and we so appreciate them adding that service. The kitchen was well stocked and the washer and dryer were wonderful to have. Everything worked very well. The description is accurate and the cottage is very spacious. It appears from their guest book they have many repeat renters who come year after year and love it!
The cottage is quiet and the neighbors are very nice.
We enjoyed fires at the fire pit and did rent the pontoon. The motor is dependable and it was so nice to be on the water. Think the pontoon rental is a must.
The sand bottom when you step into the water is firm. It is a little deep at the sea wall but the sand bottom is important.
We had a blast and enjoyed hanging out at the lake. It was wonderful.
We did find the meat market in Richland which was awesome. It's a must to stop there. The Gilmore Car museum is amazing.
We have already and will continue to recommend this cottage to our friends.
We thank Rob, Cheryl and Robby for providing such a wonderful cottage for our family to spend time together.
Wow..I was pleasantly surprised at the size of this property. It was so much bigger than we had expected it to be. Spotless clean but so homely. The view of the lake from the living/ dining/ kitchen was breathtaking. The kitchen appliances and cooking facilities were top class. Linen and towelling were meticulous clean. My husband and 2 kids just adored the lake facilities and the kids loved jumping into the lake every morning and evening. Fire wood and boat to hire and use are extras but so worth it. We would have loved to have stayed longer. We will most definitely return to this beautiful house. Our thanks to Rob, Cheryl and their boys for the most amazing holiday. They are so welcoming, generous and the most accommodating people you could ever met. Thanks again.
Rob and his sons did a great job with this property. It is very clean and very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need. We went into Richland and bought some amazing meat to grill from Richland Meats. We rented the pontoon boat for the week and our kids...12,11, and 5 had a great time jumping off of it in the middle of the lake. The lazy boy in the living room has a wonderful view of the lake .....and I could just stay there all day! We hope to be back soon.
Rob, Cheryl and sons Nick and Robby have worked hard to create an outstanding cottage. They are gracious hosts and gave us a warm welcome. Meeting them was like being with friends you have not seen for a while.
Our family of four adults enjoyed being together at this spacious cottage. The cottage is exceptionally clean with very comfortable furniture. The kitchen is well equipped with all the utensils you need to cook or grill.
Delton is about five minutes away. We shop in the community to support the local businesses. We did get a delicious pizza at Sajos. The Family Fare grocery store prices were the same as at home.
The library is modern and accepts the Michicard. When the librarian saw me checking out quilt books she invited me to the quilt group meeting that night. I went to the meeting and had a wonderful time.
In the evenings we went for pontoon rides around the lake. We had fires when we got back to the cottage. People wave and say hello as they drive by in their boats.
July 4th saw many people on the lake but it was quiet. There is a boat parade in the afternoon and in the evening we watched the fireworks that were launched from around the lake. Cheryl gave us a quick call to tell us to look out on the lake to see the pontoon airplane.
Rob took Ron for a pontoon ride and showed him the fishing spots. Ron did fish from the dock and the pontoon and caught a variety of fish.
Cheryl answered my many questions thru e-mails during the winter. She gave us the best driving directions from our home to the cottage. She told me about quilt stores in the area.
Our family has made reservations for this cottage for 2014. This is the best cottage we have rented in this part of Michigan.
Just a few words on our recent stay at a beautiful cottage on Upper Crooked Lake in Delton. What a nice place! Very clean, very roomy, 2 full bathrooms, everyhing you needed was there. The owners are some of the nicest people we've met. Renting from them was very easy. Since we were their first Canadian renters, they were nice enough to have a fantastic American Apple Pie waiting for us! The lake was beautiful, and the pontoon is a must if you are staying there. Thanks so much Cheryl and Rob for your hospitality. We will definitely be back! - Lee
We had a wonderful week at this house on the lake. The home was clean and well cared for and the grounds were well tended as well. Renting the pontoon boat is a must, it was wonderful to drop anchor in the middle of the lake and jump off the boat and swim. Water was pretty clean, seaweed in some areas, which is to be expected.
Even though it's advertised as 3 bedrooms, I would really consider it a 2 bedroom home since the 3rd bedroom is attached to the master and doesn't have windows. It worked out fine for us, since my oldest slept downstairs in the family room (which has its own bathroom).
Beautiful views of the lake from upper deck and lower patio area. Nice front lawn for kids to play.
Excellent swimming and fishing!
