We are outdoor enthusiasts. Maine is the closest place to play with quads, snowmobiles, and boats/canoes/kayaks for us. This area has it all. When we bought this house we fell in love with this area and all it had to offer. We have been enjoying the Mooseriver Valley for almost 20 years now and have not even scratched the surface of all the places to enjoy. We hope you will take some time to explore each year as we have.
Very easy access to the Bigwood Lake and all the trails leading out of town. Feel free to ride your snowmobile or quad down the streets to gas up or get breakfast. No speed limits in Maine, and the trails are wide, so there is plenty of room for everyone.
The Hot Tub is the best thing in the world after a day of snowmobiling. You will be addicted to it once you get in with a cold beverage when it's 10 degrees out there. It will re-juvinate your body in 20 minutes. We don't run it in the summer time.
So many lakes and streams around the area with great access for ATV's, Snowmobiles, off road access for trucks. Canada is very close and there's a duty free shop at the border just 15 miles away. Quebec and St George are really nice cities to visit in Canada. Moosehead Lake is just 35 min away by car, but taking your 4x4 or snowmobile is alot of fun and about a 2 hrs ride. Whitewater rafting on the Kennebec or Dead rivers is 30 min away.
