This charming studio is aptly named 'The Tree House' as it overlooks a tree lined marsh that is home to many birds and wildlife. Located on the second floor of an old barn, this 25' by 25' open space includes a sitting area with view of the marsh, a queen size bed, and kitchenette with dining area. A separate bathroom which includes a shower and sky light is adjacent to the living area. Cozy and intimate, it is perfect for a couple or a single traveler. Located on the shuttle route to Provincetown, The Tree House is close to all the excitement and yet provides the serenity of a rural retreat, with access to some of the most beautiful beaches on the Cape. North Truro Village which features a church, post office, market, cafe, chocolate store, Vineyard and the Atlantic Spice Co. are just a 5 minute walk away. Pets negotiable.
I have lived in this little corner of paradise since 1975, after graduating from the University of Delaware with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture. I have deep roots in the community and have served on many boards and committees, which gives me a unique perspective on the town I am an avid outdoors person and spend many hours exploring the beaches and woods that make up the Outer Cape. I live in a house on the property so I am usually available to answer questions and address concerns, while respecting my guests privacy. I love to travel and have great expectations of my accommodations when I do travel, and I hope I can make your stay here measure up to your expectations.
Linnet Hultin purchased this studio in 1980
Spent a lovely week at Linnet's Tree House in N. Truro at the end of August. Needed a break from the city and wanted to get some writing done, and the Tree House was perfect for both. Personal touches abounded in the studio: brightly colored vases balanced on overhead beams, a small bowl of sea glass adorned the bathroom, three skylights allowed the light to filter in.The view from my back window took in a towering weeping willow and lush vegetation. In addition, I also had access to an exquisite garden just off to the side of the studio.
Linnet seemed to have thought of everything: the small but efficient kitchen was stocked with all the utensils one might need and more.
I can't wait to recommend her property to any of my friends planning a trip to the Cape and hope I'll be able to make it back as well!
I had the most wonderful time staying at the Tree House in Truro. My stay gave me the perfect opportunity to recharge my batteries. I enjoyed the quiet of Truro and the beauty of the National Seashore. Linnet is a delightful host.
The Tree House is a great place to spend a vacation. The owner Linnet was incredibly welcoming and accommodating and provided us with a lot of helpful information right from the start. The loft is bright and airy, neat and clean and provides all the amenities of home while still giving the feeling of being tucked away in your own corner of the Cape. Our dog loved it too. I can't think of a time the three of us have come home from a vacation feeling more relaxed. I highly recommend this destination for a couple or a single person looking to get away for a while. You won't be disappointed.
If I had any way of really knowing what a beautiful, peaceful place this was I would absolutely have booked for longer. My boyfriend and I decided pretty short notice that we needed to get out of town and away from job stress for a weekend. I stumbled upon the Tree House while browsing Home Away (this is my first experience with home away) & it was the exact thing we needed.
The space is full of light, you can see and hear the birds in the morning. The garden and the rest of the property are just perfect. It really feels like a special little corner of cape cod.
Linnet the owner clearly has excellent decorating taste and has thought of everything. The kitchenette had everything I could have imagined needing. The bathroom was full of clean towels. She even provided dog towels & a blanket to toss over the couch if your furry friend wants to hang out on it. (We don't have a dog, but spent most of the weekend discussing how great it would be to be able to bring one here one day!)
Easy to get to, quick drive to all the cape cod activities I could have wanted. We hope to book again some time. Leaving after just two nights was almost painful lol.
Worth your time if you want a quiet escape!
We scored. This was an excellent find. Very close to all the Truro beaches and quick drive into PTown. The tree house is just perfect great space and everything you need to relax or go play. Hoping to visit again.
ps. Our wee dog loved it most :)
Linnet was an amazing host. If we needed anything she had it! The room was clean, spacious, furnished with anything we could ask for including beach towels, chairs and umbrella. We cooked in the little kitchen each night and she had lots of gadgets! The studio space with two large windows and four skylights felt bigger than it was and the bed was comfortable. We looked out and up at weeping willows. We used the fan very little, the space is self cooling. We had an amazing stay and will definitely come again. It felt like a home away from home.
As a long time resident of the area I am available to suggest attractions and activities suited to your interests. The shuttle to Provincetown is a 3 minute walk from the house and runs every 1/2 hour.
