In relation to the indoor fireplace, we ask that our visitors always use the fireplace screen provided. It is a Rumford fireplace used for heat and by design has a shallow hearth. The screen is essential for safety.

Quiet, beautiful, remote site. Gorgeous, cozy yet open cabin on a beautiful Vermont pond.

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful cabin in the heart of Vermont. A welcoming, cozy and rustic cabin on a private, wooded lot situated on a shallow, quiet cove to gorgeous Pecham Pond. A great place to get away and enjoy the peace and beauty of central Vermont.

Absolutely Perfect

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for an unofficial honeymoon after our Vermont wedding. It was so perfect for us. We loved the private deck, the kayaks, fishing, etc. The place is beautiful and secluded, I especially adored all the vintage touches. The whole place felt very new and clean. The kitchen was big and had everything we could have possibly needed. The bathroom/shower was especially nice. I only wish we had more time there. The owners sent us a very helpful list of food suggestions and things to do. Their directions were also very detailed and useful. We really appreciated their attention to detail. We can't thank them enough for such an amazing time.

Lovely hideaway

  • 5 of 5

A terrific spot right on Peacham Pond. We loved the spacious newly constructed log cabin that easily slept our crowd (two families - 3 adults, 3 kids). The big open living room/kitchen with the fabulous fireplace was the biggest hit (we were there the first weekend of November which was gray and chilly). The kitchen is well stocked, we cooked many a fine meal and had everything we needed (ok, the peeler could use replacing...but what a small nit!!). The perfect spot for a hideaway. The house looks out on Peacham Pond which is beautiful and placid. A great area for walking (making sure don the brightly colored outerwear during hunting season (plenty of spares available to borrow). Nice firepit outside well-suited to s'mores making and tale telling.

The owners are delightful. Anthea sent a number of pre-arrival emails with directions and suggestions and was very responsive when I called needing to locate a replacement battery for a smoke detector (answer: spare batteries in a basket atop the fridge).

As beautiful as this place looks in pictures, we were astounded by the real thing! Perfect.

Not only is the place beautiful inside and out, it is fully and generously accommodating for grown-ups and children alike. So much attention and thought to every little thing. Our family had a wonderful time there.
