Unspoiled and protected, our beautiful and natural parks are refuges for birds, mammals and humans alike. Brooker Creek Preserve's 8,500 acres are home to more than 160 bird species, 20 amphibians, 50 reptiles and 40 mammals, many of them rare or listed as protected in Florida and/or the nation. Weedon Island Preserve's 1,500 island acres offers 9 miles of hiking trails, 4 miles of canoe and kayak trails, a fishing pier, observation platforms and an elevated boardwalk providing an intimate view of the flora and fauna of Florida.
The Gulf of Mexico and our rivers offer watchable wildlife. Approximately 2,600 manatees inhabit our springs, bays and canals, feeding on aquatic plants. Everyone's favorite, the Atlantic bottlenose dolphin, can be seen cavorting with beauty and grace. Alligators can be found in some freshwater areas of the county. And over 300 species of fish swim in our waters

The Dew Drop Inn is a nice house on a quiet street. The drive to the beach is five minutes. Bruce was very easy to work with. He was kind and welcoming and responded to text messages within minutes. The house was well furnished and had plenty of room for 5 adults. While in Clearwater, we went to the beach, to the Florida Botanical Gardens, kayaking with dolphins at Honeymoon Island State Park, on a sunset cruise, etc. It was a great time, and the Dew Drop Inn was a quiet, personal home base during our trip. Thanks to Bruce for his hospitality and his great house.
My wife and I along with four friends recently stayed at the Dew Drop Inn in Clearwater. We needed a place large enough for all six of us to stay while we were attending the Clearwater Jazz Festival. We could not have chosen a better place as it was only about a mile or so to Coachman Park where the Festival was being held. The property was as advertised in the listing description, very clean and well maintained by Bruce and Melody the owners who live next door. The large house with a quaint front porch reminded us of places that we grew up in or visited back in our younger days. The interior of the house is so beautiful and very, very comfortable for all of us. Not often can you get 6 people to agree on everything but all of us did do that in regards to staying here. We are hoping to return for next years Festival. Bruce and Melody have some other properties to rent nearby so check them out! We would also like to give a shout out to "Lenny's" a fantastic restaurant that is not too far away and has the best breakfast anywhere!
My family and I stayed there 4/8/15 - 4/12/15. The house is very nice, spacious, clean, fully stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies, reasonably safe neighborhood. The owner Lives next door. The only problem we had was the internet wifi didn't work, which to us was a big deal since this was a working vacation and we needed the Internet. We contacted the owner and he tried to adjust the signal extender but it didn't work. The Internet is coming from his house next door and the signal just isn't strong enough, even with the extender. You can pick up the main signal from the owners house only if you're sitting on the front porch but even there it goes in and out and is very hard to keep a connection. I again notified the owner and didn't receive a response. I notified him a few more times by phone, text, and email and he never responded. This would have been an easy fix with a quick trip to Best Buy and I'm not sure why he didn't since he seems like a nice guy. I at least expected a response but didn't receive one. Three of us ended up having to buy extra data through our cell carriers so we could "hotspot" our laptops and iPads. It would have been a 4 star review if we didn't have this problem. One other thing I'd like to note is the map seems to imply the house is right on the water but it isn't. It's located near the bottom right edge of the vicinity circle, well into town, which is a bit misleading. Happy travels and if the Internet gets fixed this is a fine place to stay
Wonderful stay in a wonderful house! The house was great! Clean, updated baths, kitchen. Everything is well cared for and the house is stocked with everything you'll need for a pleasant trip. Bruce was wonderful and easy to deal with, always available if needed.
The house was a 5 minute drive from Clearwater beach and 10 from sand key!
Spring is great in Clearwater! We had a great stay and would love to return! Thanks Bruce!
I loved this house for my family of 6. It has been very well renovated and was comfortable, clean, and charming. The location is a quick drive to the beach and is convenient to everything else. The three bedrooms were perfect and the beds were very comfortable. Both bathrooms were updated, well stocked, and functioned very well for us and the car port was a real plus as well as the outside water hose to spray off with. I still can't get over how much we liked our stay here because we are very particular. We booked last minute and Bruce was very accommodating. You can tell they care about their house and their guests. Very well done! I wish I could bring this home back to Ohio.
We were having a family reunion in the Clearwater area and this was the perfect place for our family! It felt like home - complete with Christmas lights! The house had everything we needed and then some. You can tell the owners take excellent care of the house and yard. The backyard is a lovely collection of trees and gardens. We wish the weather had been better so we could enjoy the back porch more, but there were plenty of places inside to sit and gather family members that were staying in various places. Everyone loved the house and agreed we would do it again. Quiet neighborhood within an easy drive to downtown Clearwater, the beach, etc. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a great alternative to hotel living.
Property is as described in listing. Charmingly decorated and close to downtown Clearwater, Phillies spring training and several nearby towns that have weekly farmer's markets, festivals, etc. Less than t10 minutes to Clearwater beach and other Pineallas County beaches. Owners live nearby and were extremely helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed spending the month here - and thanks for the grapefruit!
