We looked EVERYWHERE before purchasing this penthouse condo in the heart of River Run Village. We were relieved to find such a large, open floorplan and were thrilled about the loft. We were certain this was a place we would enjoy staying in especially compared to some of the other units in River Run. We found that it was the most convenient possible location to take a ski vacation and thought that our renters would see it that way as well. It's so nice not to ever worry about getting in the car or parking.
We stayed in the apartment with two kids(7+9).
The location of the condo and the view out of the window is really perfect, but the ladder to get to the upper beds are definitely not convenient for younger children. I don't know where there should be room for 9 people...
The whole furniture and kitchen equipment are old and run down. Coming from Europe the standard of the electrical equipment and situation of the condo was below any we had seen and rented before. Everything seems a little grubby. In our opinion the rental was too expensive for what you get.
- No heat - thermostat and heaters did not work - had to ask for space heaters of which 2 of the three did not work.
- Toilet overflowed twice (not due to excess waste or toilet paper)
- Ski locker key missing from advertised location only to be found under coasters on a shelf while cleaning for checkout
- Stains on carpet and furniture is old and very uncomfortable.
- location was very good and Buffalo lodge grounds was nice
- I had to make multiple contacts with VRBO personnel and property managers in order to call owner to approve my booking
- I would not recommend this condo.
Overall the property was run down. It sold the day before we arrived but no one knew it. Summit cove blamed the previous owners and they blamed summit cove. We waited in hallway for an hour before we could get the key cards to work unlocking the door. Wonder if there were bed bugs. Upholstered bar stools were dirty and stained. Couldn't hardly fathom that we paid so much to stay in that musty place. Furniture was like a broken hammock and again can't stress how musty it was. Fireplace filthy glass. Could hardly see the flames. Dust as thick as the snowfall outside. Management blamed everyone but themselves. Not going back!
The condo is in a perfect location and super adorable! Decorated really cute and cozy. We played checkers every day on the "patio". The patio is only big enough to stand on which was kind of a bummer. The major downside was I emailed the Owner twice asking for check-in instructions. Something every other Owner has given us 1 - 2 days ahead of time. Julie never replied. Thankfully we are in Keystone a lot and this Owner, thankfully, used the condos management service. So check in and out was not a problem at all (because we knew where to go). I feel bad for people that don't know Keystone and aren't given instructions. We literally went up with zero instructions about the condo.
All in all the stay was fantastic. We had a great time and again the location is spot on! As long as the Owner communicates with you, you won't regret staying here.
I was really suprised by the very reasonable price for such a nice unit. The location was centrally located and near all the amenities. We would definitely stay again.
The location is great walk about 125 yards to Gondola. We had great weather and snow. Plenty of places to eat and drink in River Run Village. You never need to take a bus or use your car unless you want to. Not a big condo but comfortable for my wife and I and 2 teens that sleep in the loft. If there is a negative it only has 1 bath, but I knew that going in. Keystone was great skiing not crowded.
