Lovely home with wonderful kitchen and all of the amenities. Very comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

Very lovely and comfortable home for our Thanksgiving stay. Spacious kitchen with great prep sink and many other amenities made it feel like home when making Thanksgiving dinner for family and our UO student's friends. It was very comfortable for a large group gathering.

The house is in a great location on a large property. If the weather is nice I can easily see spending most of the home time on the beautiful deck or gathered around the fire pit in the patio below. The location is peaceful and private, but easily accessible to UO and many other Eugene activities.

Alice is wonderful! She made reservations and check in very easy and was immediately responsive to all of our questions.

I would readily book this property with Alice again.

Tranquil garden setting

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely and charming home with a private deck overlooking a tranquil garden, complete with a fire pit perfect for a relaxing evening. The house had all of the amenities you could ask for, and Alice was such a welcoming and friendly host. The house is tucked away on a quiet street and also a short walk to a hiking trail head in Hendricks Park. We would highly recommend this property and host - thank you again!

Zen Retreat! Amazing home and property.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just loved our stay here, along with our boys and my cousin and her boys. The kids ages ranged from 3-13. This home could not be more perfect for our stay! It is tastefully decorated in an eclectic Zen fashion, the home is spacious-feeling and the flow in the great room which is opened to the kitchen was perfect, never felt cramped. We traveled from California to spend time with our Oregon family, and ended up hosting dinner and fire pit s'mores one night. We had about 14 people for that evening and it didn't feel cramped at all. Everyone enjoyed taking their meal on the spacious deck, and then gathered around the fire pit for a hard-to-beat dessert. Our boys enjoyed sleeping in the separate room which is downstairs, and the adults enjoyed the two suite-bedrooms in the house. We all slept quite well as the beds are very comfortable (this is not always my experience when sleeping away from home!). The kitchen is nicely stocked with the things you need to make all your meals at the home if you so desire (which we did). We put the BBQ to good use as well, very handy to have a gas grill right on the deck! I can't end the review without mentioning the gorgeous property that this home is situated on. We chose this home because we have boys and wanted some space for them to roam. Well, did they ever! The TV did not go on once, they spent every waking moment on the rope swings in the trees, or throwing football on the roomy lawn, quietly watching deer nibble on the grass, or exploring the veggie garden and enjoying blueberries. It was so wonderful! Alice was very attentive and helpful during our stay. Our family members who had hotels were sad that they had to go back to their sterile environment when the evening was over! This is a lovely home, on an amazing and wonderfully landscaped property, you'll feel like you're at a retreat! We'll definitely give Alice a call when we're back up in Eugene.

Wonderful Home & Property Close but Separate from University

  • 5 of 5

We had a week long stay while visiting daughter at U of O. Attended a couple of UO football games and a UO basketball game, golfed at nearby Laurelwood, and River Ridge, and did some hikes. The house was perfect for us as we entertained family and friends a couple of evenings. The location from the University is over the Hendricks Park hill, literally a 5 minute drive away, so there is separation from the University area but quick and easy access, e.g., to the campus, Matthew Knight arena and restaurants and other amenities. Fantastic kitchen within a spacious great room (living room) with huge windows looking out over the gigantic 3 acre property. Two master bedrooms each with own bathrooms. One bedroom downstairs and separate (no internal access) with no bathroom, where our son stayed for a few days. We enjoyed access to the hiking trails in Hendricks Park steps away from the property, and of course the back yard was a hike in and of itself, and yes we even saw wild turkeys! We would certainly enjoy staying there again, perhaps in the spring time. Owners are great, and we really appreciate their hospitality and helpfulness.
