We stayed here over Labor Day weekend with a group of two families with 3 kids including 2 toddlers. This property was perfect for us as it had plenty of room both inside and out for the kids to play as well as for the adults to enjoy. All the outdoor amenities were taken advantage of including the putting green, bocce ball and feeding the 2 friendly goats. The view is tremendous as well. The kitchen is first class and really has everything you might need. We used the grill and the fireplace outside which were great. Our hosts were very gracious in all regards including leaving us some fresh strawberries when we arrived. They also helped us figure out where to visit, where to eat and even found a babysitter for our kids. We loved the location as it was quite conveniently located to so many great places but it was also removed enough where you feel that you are truly on vacation. We will definitely be back and look forward to using the playground that will be set up shortly.
The ranch surpassed our expectations. Five ladies stayed for three nights to get a country ranch experience in the wine region near Santa Ynez. This house was a perfect blend of a relaxing home and a special location with everything we would need to feel like we were at home. The property's views were breathtaking. A special bonus were the two friendly goats who were so happy to see us and be fed. Pam was always ready to be contacted if needed. I would return again soon.
We stayed 4 days and really enjoyed the ranch. Everything is clean and all the finishes, furniture and appliances are high end. Owners were very friendly and great at recommending local attractions. The owners stay at the barn which shares the driveway with the house, so they are there if you need them, but you don't see them if you don't need them. Really enjoyed all the amenities. Appreciated all the extras provided that you don't see in all rentals such as: paper cups/plates/paper towels/spices/ and everything you need to cook. Thanks for a great stay!
The ranch has a great open floor plan perfect for a large family gathering. We had a local graduation with folks coming to town from two other states so wanted a place we could all gather, have family parties, and enjoy the great outdoors. Every night we had a fire in the outdoor burner. The kids loved the big screen tv. The Bose radio is awesome - we listened to our new Eastern European DVD and had room to dance around the kitchen island. Two sides to the house outdoors means lots of variety (golf in the back, horseshoes and bocce and goats and the view of the vineyards in the front). Furnishings and beds are impeccable. Hosts are kind and generous. Short hop to the beautiful mission, wineries, Jalama beach, and town. Highly recommended.
Our stay at Vineyard View Ranch was outstanding. We took our family for five nights over the Memorial Day Weekend and had a terrific time. The house was warm and comfortable and the kitchen was a chef's paradise. I loved the grounds with bocce ball, putting green and horseshoes and the goats (Guinness & Finley) were so fun to feed and pet daily. The views were wonderful from the property and it was so fun to sit out and have a glass of wine at night. My grandson loved the firepit, where we roasted marshmallows.
Pam, was a wonderful host and had great information on the surrounding areas and wineries. She even set up an excellent wine tour for us at Hilliard Bruce, just up the hill from the house. I definitely will be booking the Vineyard View Ranch in the near future. Thanks again to Pam & Jon!
My 5 girlfriends and I recently stayed at the ranch for a girls weekend. This place is so clean and beautiful. Jon and Pam were exceptional hosts as well. The view from the ranch is spectacular and the inside of the home is impeccable. We loved sitting outside, and enjoying the amazing view. The have outdoor games to play, resident goats to visit, and a fire pit to roast marshmallows. They also have everything you need to cook. It is so beautiful and fun. Can't wait to go back!
Bocce Ball Court, Outdoor Chiminea (wood provided), 5-Hole Professional Putting Green, Horseshoes (all sporting equipment provided on-site), and plenty of games and puzzles to keep the young and old alike entertained. There are also two goats that are big characters and mighty friendly. We have a football and baseball bat with tennis balls for use on the 6,000 square foot front lawn that's large enough for a number of activities. La Purisma golf course and mission is less then one mile away ... AND, of course you have many, many wineries and fine dining establishments in the area for you to capture the full experience of this wine region.
