PERFECT Location in Ismorada Home

We had a wonderful time on our vacation; the house was very accommodating the location was fantastic to get to the Atlantic or the Gulf. Hard to find a house with a private pool and hot tub in the location we wanted; hope to return in the fall.

Great for two families

The bedrooms and beds were ideal for two families. Comfy beds. Kitchen had everything we needed for vacation. Property manager was responsive to requests. Pool and hot tub were great. Quiet street.

Some minor issues we had that were not deal breakers at all. Gas

Stovetop cooks really really slowly like the burners don't get hot enough. Downstairs shower is very dark. The curtains in the downstairs bedroom are sheer so there's no privacy in that bedroom with people sitting by the pool.

Overall great stay.

Our Family Loved It!

What a fun place to stay in the Keys, our whole family loved it. Having our own pool and hot tub was great! As was the brand new gourmet kitchen and master bath rain shower! Such a great stay, Thanks!

Power Surge????

If you're looking for a luxury getaway - this is not your place. We spent the first 2 days with repairmen coming and going. Fridge was cool - but not cold - and alarm went off every 15 minutes and had to be reset to quit beeping. Service guy couldn't get the part until after our stay - so they sent an old fridge for the interim. Microwave wouldn't shut off - so the sent a new one to the house and left it on the lower level for us to haul upstairs and unpack. Water heater in the separate bedroom wouldn't work - so they asked us to use the bathroom across the patio. 12 x 12 patio blocks were placed on top of small gravel stones in the driveway -which are uneven and very treacherous. Be careful!! Pool tiles are cracked along an old patio outside of the lower bedroom - which are very sharp - beware. The wood column under the kitchen patio is partially missing on top - I don't know if there is a metal support inside the column or not - but I'd be careful on that patio. Chair covering on one dining room chair is torn across the whole surface (not to mention a pair of men's boxers were still there). The dining room table is missing the glass top - which the prop.mgr. says it never had one - but if you have a recessed wicker inset - you need a top of some kind to make a flat surface. (Not to mention the wicker inset is bowed also not flat). By the way - when I contacted the prop.mgr. after our stay - she threatened to withhold our damage dep. if I wrote a bad review. I did talk to the owner - seems quite nice. Even sent us flowers because of all the problems at the house. He said there had been a storm - and probably caused a lot of the problems. I agree - but there are a lot of other issues there. The house is for sale and the prop.mgr. says the reason it hasn't sold is because they "aren't showing it right". You'd think after a storm the prop.mgr. would check out their properties not expect the next renter to spend 2 days trying to get stuff fixed. The owner offered us free weekend stay for all of our troubles. Thanks - but not interested. If you're going there to spend your time fishing - this may be your place - if you're looking for a luxurious vacation rental --- keep looking. I've rented a lot of properties before and have never even felt I needed to rate them - they have all been great. We even considered leaving this house and trying to catch a cruise out of Miami for our week !!!

Owner's Response: Seriously Jackie, you write and remove reviews like lightning. You have spoke with the home owner and property management many times and every time your story is different and full of lies. It is not worth our time to write another lengthy response to your ridiculous reviews. You delete your posts and write new ones to make our responses disappear. Advice for your next stay? Don't joke with the pool cleaner you are trying to get a refund to cover your stay, that will travel back to property management and the home owner. Your guest rating is one star for a reason.

Decent luxury property but majorly run down

Owner needs to put 5-10k in home to keep it up but it is for sale so I assume they are just hanging on. In a 4 bedroom house I expect more than 8 total towels. Had ant and bug issue. No extra blankets in whole house. Several kitchen appliances broken. Needed to buy and replace many cooking items in kitchen. Boat dock was in such disrepair couldn't let kids walk on it. Paint job needed in house. Kitchen table and chairs need to be thrown away. House had lots of potential and space and nice pool and jacuzzi though it was filthy and the pool strainer to clean was broken. Nice to have own dock for boat, but it needs to be repaired. Needs just an overall major refresh and upkeep for this price for a rental.

Owner's Response: Unfortunately our home was completely trashed by these renters. They were looking for a refund from day one and made many false complaints. (Apparently this is becoming a common problem in the area) Causing us much cost with unneeded pest control and now damage to the property. They called complaining there was only 10 large bath towels now apparently there is only 8. For a home that rents to 8 people that is the norm. There were no bug or ant issues before your stay but you insisted on leaving food out all over the counters, candy wrappers all over the home, large kitchen spoons covered in chocolate all over the upstairs level, whatever that was about. Rum & pizza left out in the kitchen. You were asked to keep food in the refrigerator. You told pest-control there were no bugs in the home until you used a hose to spray off the patio which chased a few of them inside. We have this documented. There are absolutely no kitchen appliances broken in this home and no renters prior have had a problem. There is extra bedding in the closets and dressers of every bedroom. Which you would not need if you had the proper amount of people in the home. You did not need to buy any kitchen items, everything is new and updated. There is nothing wrong with the dining room furniture. The pool and hot tub are cleaned weekly and are definitely not filthy we have a wonderful pool cleaning company. During your stay you saw fit to leave our property in shambles, you were also a compulsive liar. You broke the patio umbrella in half, broke the pool net, left beer bottle tops all over the outdoor patio & pool area for people to step on, you left candy, candy wrappers, empty water bottles, and spoons covered in chocolate all over the home. There were also candy fingerprints all over all of the windows that housekeeping had to scrub for hours. You soiled all of the large bathroom towels by taking them out on your boat and to beaches when you were told they had to remain in the home. You caused an excessive cleaning bill by housekeeping, and three visits by Charter pest control due to your persistence in not keeping food put away. Many homes that rent out in the Florida Keys are for sale off and on throughout the years that does not mean you can completely trash the place. In 4 years we have never had a renter leave our home in such shambles, We will leave you a negative renter review to warn other home owners. You will be paying for all damages.

Well maintained, Clean, Great Character, Relaxing

Our family of six thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful home with great architectural features. Plenty of beds/baths for our family & teenagers to spread out:) Lovely renovated kitchen & master bath. Hot tub, Pool, Coconuts, Lizards.......What more can you want? Will be back~
