• Die Wohnung war super. Einzug, Auszug, Schlüsselübergabe, etc. hat alles problemlos geklappt. Jederzeit wieder gern.
Chris was very clear about our arrival arrangements. This apt was well located near Haras train and subway stop. Everything was just a few minutes away by train? Our family had a delightful stay. Would recommend this again. Marie
Chris's apartment was very convenient for us, a retired couple and our adult daughter. It was clean, bright and quiet. He left helpful directions. The apt. is sited five minutes walk from the UBahn, which took us into town in thre stops.
We were happy with our choice, and would be hppy to ask for it again if we return to Munich.
Oliver, \Victoria, BC,
Chris was incredibly easy to work with and very quick to respond to my every email and question! The place was clean, spacious and very conveniently located to the U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations, making it easy to get anywhere in the city. The apartment building and neighborhood itself were very quiet and safe. I would highly recommend this property to others looking to visit Munich!
Lovely apartment. Great location quiet and central. Thanks so much
I booked this apartment many months in a advance and I took my family to Oktoberfest. The flat is fantastic, it has all appliance that you need. Very comfortable beds and lots of space.
Great location and very close to the tube, but as its was so close to the centre and Oktoberfest we walk everywhere.
I want to say 'Thank you Chris' for keep in touch all this time and make me and my family very welcome. I would recommend this place to anybody
Chris was an excellent host, very prompt to respond and very clear to communicate with. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Munich, great city! Excellent place to stay. Very clean and tidy. The apartment is modern and has all the faculties we needed. Thank you for letting me and my friends stay.
Perfect and carefull host, very clean and one of the best apartments we have ever had. Thank you Chris!
Terrific flat in a centrally-located neighborhood. I work on the road and the wi-fi access was perfect. The subway is only a five-minute walk and only a couple stops to the town center. We had three little kids, and while a little tight, it worked out fine. There's a small park in the back with a swing set and the 3-year old appreciated the stuffed lions and other toys there. There's a 24-hour gas station with some essentials just a block away and a grocery store and pharmacy is just up the block with several bakeries to get your morning bread rush. Highly recommended. Chris' house rules and recommendations were helpful and the neighbors were also very kind.
A nice and cosy apartment in a residential area. You will find everything you need there, and the supermarket is just around the corner. The host is very helpful and responsive. We look forward to coming back!
• partment was beautiful, clean and was in a great location! Beds were super comfy, easy to use laundry, stocked pantry, etc. Super close to the metro station and supermarket- could not have asked for a better apartment. Would definately recommend this place to anyone going to Munich!!
The apartment is very quiet, clean, spacious and relaxing. Really central for Marienplatz and Messe.
I will definitely stay here next time I come to Munich.
The well stocked kitchen with teas, oils and basic essentials and saved a lot of time, allowing me to cook for myself very easily.

We stayed at Chris' apartment during Oktoberfest and it was a real pleasure. Not only was it extremely comfortable, it was in a very convenient location - very close to the nearest train station which is only a few stops from central station. There were five of us and we still had more than enough room. Also, having a kitchen and laundry facilities made the apartment a home away from home!
Chris was a wonderful host. He assisted us in every way possible as we were arriving at an inconvenient time. He was very contactsble right up until out stay. He was very helpful in pointing out local places to visit and ways of getting there. We wish we could have stayed longer!
This appt was exactly as expected. The apartment was very quiet, comfortable and in a safe neighborhood, spotlessly clean and enough space for a 3 yr old to play. Really close to subway, at the end of the street, and supermarket, chemist and small fruit shop around the corner.
Chri was a friendly host, who met us on arrival and provided info on transport and things to do. He kindly left some toys in the appt for our son to play with and it was much appreciated. He also provided some milk and cooking essentials which were really handy.
It's a lovely place, lots of thoughtful extras... espresso, bottle opener, laundry soap... Sweet, personal calendar on the wall in the kitchen; it felt like home to me.
PERFECT location for me... close to the city proper, but with a more personal/residential feel. Fun watching people going about their business in the courtyard, tending to flowers, grilling, enjoying the beautiful Munich summer. (We have 40 degrees and humid as all get-out at home right now; not missing that!)
Thank you for a wonderful place to take in Munich, Chris.
Chris was a very nice person and his apt was very nice and comfortable to stay. The apt was close to metro and it was very convenient to visit various places in and around Munich. We were 2 adults and 2 teen kids for 3 days and 2 nights in the apt. Chris let us keep our luggage in his loft since our train arrived much earlier than the check-in time. He was a great host and recommend his apt to anyone visiting Munich.
My wife, two teenagers and I rented Chris' Munich apartment earlier this month for a week. We all felt at home in the apartment and enjoyed having the additional elbow room which only the priciest hotel suites can afford. One of my main reasons for selecting Chris' place was its proximity to the city center via multiple transportation options. The U-Bahn and S-Bahn are literally a 5 minute walk up the street. The U-bahn gets you to Marienplatz in literally 15 minutes door to door. While the apartment's proximity to the S-Bahn tracks was initially a concern, the apartment faces the rear courtyard and I can honestly say I never heard the train from within the apartment.
I am English and moved to Munich back in 1990. I love Bavaria and can advise you on places to visit around the Alps and of course in the city itself.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2005
My apartment is special since it within 10 mins of the center, but within a typical munich suberb where you can shop with the locals and escape the tourist scene if you wish. Very quiet and relaxed, but excellent tube, bus and train connections within 5 minute walk. Free parking if you have a car / no residence permit rules.
Offers a keyhole view of Munich life in an old local suberb, Quiet and relaxing. Quality furnishings. Queen size bed with high quality mattress!
Everything was as expected and the apartment was beautiful. Location is very close to the center of Munich and the kitchen had all that you needed.
The apartment is very convenient to the subway that gets you into the heart of Munich in 15 minutes, which for us was very important since we used the train system to travel to various cities using the apartment as a home base. As stated in the apartment listing, there is on-street parking but we found it difficult to find an open spot, especially at night, since this is an apartment complex and most of the residents have to park on the street.
Earlier reviews mention that Chris couldn't meet the clients upon their arrival, which was the case for us as well. The instructions say to ring the bell of two of the building's residents who will help, (the names were provided but there's no need to list them here). We rang both apartments but we received no response from either of them. But we were lucky. After about half an hour of waiting, an elderly woman entered the building and allowed us to enter with her as well. Once in the building it's easy to find Chris's apartment. It was only 6:30 pm when we arrived, so we wondered what would have happened if we had arrived later. It would be better if a more suitable way to get the keys to the building can be found, rather than to rely on the good fortune of an elder neighbor's arrival. One more thing I want to mention: when we opened the refrigerator we found a good bit of open food such as milk, sliced sandwich meat, bread, and an open can of potted meat, as well as a few more items.
The apartment is located one short flight up (about 8-10 steps) from the foyer which is no problem, but there is an elevator if it's needed; especially good if you're traveling with a heavy suitcase.
Even with the minor parking and refrigerator problems, we enjoyed our stay. The apartment was warm, comfortable, and more than big enough to suit our needs. I can recommend it for people traveling as a couple or with children. The convenience to local shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as to public transportation is a really big plus for this property.
This is a one bedroom apartment with plenty of space. As is typical for most European apartments, this one does not have air conditioning. Although it was quite warm for September, we were able to manage by opening the windows in the evening to cool down the apartment. The wi-fi worked great. We particularly appreciated the toiletries, laundry detergent, and olive oil/vinegar/spices that were available for us to use. It was nice not having to provide those ourselves. There were also a bunch of Munich maps/brochures/business cards in the apartment, which helped us get around and gave us ideas about places to go/eat.
The apartment is not in the center of Munich. However, public transportation is a short walk away and was quite easy to figure out and use (we bought a multi-day pass). The neighborhood is a pretty quiet residential area, so you either need to walk or use public transport to get to sites/restaurants/bars. However, there are a few conveniently located (and cheap) grocery stores and bakeries for those who do not want to go out for every meal.
Chris, the owner, met us upon our arrival to show us the apartment and explain everything we needed to know. Our arrival time had to be later in the afternoon, due to guests that were vacating the apartment the same day. However, Chris was flexible with our departure time on our final day. He was available as needed by phone/email.
This was the first of four apartments that my boyfriend and I rented through homeaway.com for our recent trip to Europe. Overall, we had a positive experience and, in many ways, this apartment was better equipped than the others in which we stayed (e.g., laundry detergent, spices, maps, etc.).
Our stay in Munich was very enjoyable. The property is clean, comfortable and just as described. Very convenient as it is 5-10 minutes walk to train lines. Christian was very helpful in making sure everything was ok.
Basically we enjoyed the apartment. It was a bit small for 5 people, but we knew that when we rented it (and we didn't have any other options since it was the last minute). The area around the apartment is rather residential, although there are a few restaurants, and you need to keep in mind that the stores close at 20:00 in Munich or you may have a hard time with meals. Still, the apartment is quite close to a major transit station and it was easy to get to downtown or to take short day trips. It has all the standard amenities and everything works fine (except the dishwasher was out of order at the time of our visit). We enjoyed our stay.
Given the price and the fact that it's in Munich, this is an excellent choice for a small group or a family that doesn't mind tight quarters.
We loved our stay in Munich. The flat was very well equipped and in a great location (and quiet) for the metro and sights. No need for a car as metro about 400m away from flat. We loved the balcony for coffee outside and found it easy to eat out locally. We would definitely stay again here.
The apartment is clean and well suited. Chris provides very excellent directions and location information. Arrival information very nicely done. I would be happy to stay again on next trip to Munich.
