Comfortable family friendly rental in perfect Boston location!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I spent a week at the Faulkner's Beacon Hill home in August 2016. We have 2 small children who loved the play room, and we loved the convenient location. Just steps from the Esplanade we enjoyed all of the free activities offered during the summer.

The home itself had a unique layout with the bedrooms on the entry level and the kitchen and living area downstairs in the basement level. The basement level had a private entrance and a back gate that faced Sturrow Drive. This worked great for our family as we could entertain and enjoy the back patio area after the kids went to bed. The building and area was very quiet even being steps away from Sturrow Drive and the Boston Commons.

This was by far one of the best family vacations we've had and a large part of that was because the house was set up perfectly for family's with young children. The play room was fully stocked and the stairs had safety gates on both ends. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. The owners left us a comprehensive list of info on the area and was very responsive with every little question we had.

I would highly recommend this property for your Boston stay!

Wonderful family home!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and two preschool-aged children stayed in this home for one week. It was perfect for our needs. There were plenty of toys available for the kids and it was nice to have the fenced in backyard terrace area as well. Brooke was so helpful with providing information ahead of our stay, and gave great tips on places to visit! Beacon Hill is an awesome neighborhood and this home really is right in the middle of it all. I would most definitely recommend this property to others, and we would stay there again as well.

Comfortable, convenient, charming, and gracious owner

  • 5 of 5

My husband, two tween sons and I stayed in this charming apartment for the 2016 Boston Marathon. It was even better than I expected. The apartment is in one of many charming rowhouses on cobblestone streets in the Beacon Hill neighborhood. It provided the comfort and convenience we were looking for. We all appreciated the space! We hadn't realized that the blocks in Boston are small so everything was actually a lot closer than we expected. We easily walked through Boston Common to all of the marathon activities. Charles Street is 2-3 minutes away and has good coffee shops and restaurants. The Charles River Esplanade is 5 minutes away, walking out the back gate and over a pedestrian bridge. Our sons loved playing at the "zip line/rock wall" park there at sunset. Whole Foods is just over a mile away and a nice walk or very short Uber ride. My husband and I ran the Freedom Trail, which starts at the north end of Boston Common. Brooke couldn't have been more helpful and gracious. She was very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. Her list of restaurants, parks, grocery stores, etc. was great.

Perfect Location!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of six had an amazing week in this charming apartment! It was spacious and had all of the comforts of home including a playroom for the kids! They had so much fun! I loved the backyard and we could hear the Boston Pops Concert during Harborfest perfectly without having to fight the crowds:) The apartment is located on a quiet street in a quiet neighborhood. Anything we needed or wanted was right around the corner. Shops, restaurants, markets, and pharmacy was close by. We walked everywhere and always felt safe and welcome:) Everyone we met was so kind to us and our children. This was just the perfect location for our family vacation to Boston. The owner, Brooke, was awesome to work with! She made everything so easy and did so much to accomodate our family and make our stay comfortable. She has a beautiful home and I'm so grateful that she and her family shared it with us! Highly recommend!!!

Great Location and Wonderful Owners

  • 4 of 5

Our group of 5 had a fantastic time at this apartment for the 2015 Boston Marathon. Fabulous location for anyone in town for the Boston Marathon. Just 4 blocks from the 5K start and finish line and about 6 blocks from the Boston Marathon finish line. It is close to public transportation (T-line, etc.), shopping and 2 blocks from the Boston Common.

The owners were great in communicating information about the house and checking in, and they even left us a little care package of fruit for our arrival. Brooke is thoughtful and went as far as possible to meet the requirements of our needs.

The only constructive things I would say is they could have a few more extra blankets/pillows when they know 5 people are staying (which is the max.) as with 5 people, one sleeps on an Aero Bed and another on a couch. Also, they did not have a toaster and that would be a great add to this place.

All in all a fabulous weekend was had by all.

We rented the Faulkners house on Beacon Hill for our stay for the 2014 Boston Marathon. We loved everything about it. It is a beautiful old house in an amazing neighborhood. Close to everything! The house itself is very room with lots of charm. The kids playroom is fantastic, the kitchen has everything you could need and the bedrooms fit our family of 5 perfectly. Brooke made sure all our questions were answered promptly and even left us a celebratory bottle of champagne for after the race! If you have a family and have outgrown a single hotel room....this is a perfect choice! Thank you Faulkners!!!
