Historic San Marco Penthouse Apartment is the perfect location for your holiday: here you will have the possibility to spend your Venetian days in a unique and fascinating location.
This large, airy and bright, non-smoking apartment is located on the third (last) floor, in a 500 year old architecturally-significant Palazzo.
Renovated by a famous architect, the apartment is designed to create different spaces within it's wide open area: the wide living area with couch, chaise longues and armchairs; two cozy spaces with desks; a fully-equipped gourmand kitchen; a TV/Reading corner with a queen size sleep sofa and opposite a corner that accommodates two single beds (which can be pushed together to function as a King bed).
The master bedroom with Queen bed is totally separated from other spaces and is located in the opposite side, compared to the position of the single beds.
The penthouse has two complete bathrooms: one with a shower and one with a tub (we did renovations in March 2014).
The apartment is equipped with all the modern comforts and facilities ,including air conditioning (Central Air Unit controllable in 4 zones), independent heating, free wifi internet connection, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave oven...
In this very unusual and spacious Venetian property, very quite and silent, you have the possibility to relax after an exciting day and also take small daily breaks since it's literally within steps of the most popular sights, shops, and restaurants in San Marco.
Thanks to its central location you can easily reach Piazza San Marco and the Basilica, the Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs in a few minutes walk. You'll have the opportunity to visit the monuments in the early morning, when they are not too crowded or you can be enchanted by the magic of Piazza San Marco in the night, with the orchestras playing. From the penthouse in 5-10 minutes walking you reach Rialto, Academia, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Piazza Santo Stefano, etc.
In the immediate neighborhood you'll find a souvenir shop, pharmacy, pâtisserie, newspaper stand, coffee shop, good restaurant and bars, little grocery shop, fruit and vegetable shop, and also all the high fashion shops of the best Italian labels, that are located in this area of Venice.
The apartment is perfect for short or long term stays.
Boat stop San Marco-Vallaresso (less than 5 minutes walk to the penthouse):
- Line 1, from Piazzale Roma and train station every 12 min day time and every 20 min night time;

We loved this apartment with its amazing location (think a few minutes walk to St Marco and it's own private water taxi stop) and uniquely stylish character - it was great value for money.
Five of us stayed during winter and the heating made the large space quite cosy. Everything in terms of the renovation was well thought out, all that you needed was there and worked as it was supposed to. And, the kitchen was well equipped with good quality cookware and plenty of crockery and glassware - which made it easy to have fun staying in.
Our only complaint is that three nights weren't long enough to explore Venice and really relax in the space so if you can spend a week, do it. We'll stay again. Thank you.
Aside from the 3-4 floor walk-up, the property was clean, spacious, and comfortable for my wife and me. In fact, it could easily accommodate six guests. The only complaint is the lack of any water pressure in the shower, and the inoperable hand held shower head in the bath tub (two bathrooms).
Right by San Marco! Beautiful! Room was really hot first night because air was not going when we got there. Left windows open all night to cool off and the rest of the stay was perfect. Lots of room to spread out. Two bathrooms make it nice. Lots of stairs! Right in the middle of all the shopping. We will stay here again! Thank you!
The apartment was almost perfect for our needs. However, you do need to be able to walk up ALOT of stairs to stay here! We knew that from the listing description and decided to only use carry-ons. It's worth it tho:-) The pictures are very accurate and the property was clean and fairly well maintained. Camilla was very pleasant and responsive throughout the entire process. Elisabetta met us at the San Marco boat stop, a quick 5 minute walk and we were there. Note 1: We took the blue line Aglilaguna from the airport -- I recommend you take the red line if you make it in time. Way faster! Note 2: If you need ice for your drinks -- as soon as you get to the apartment, check the freezer. The refrigerator's freezer compartment is very small and was frosted over and there was just one very small ice tray. We ended up getting a bag of ice around the corner at a wonderful wine bar/restaurant where we had dinner every night. I used a knife to hack some of the frost away and stuffed the remainder of the bag in the freezer. It lasted all three nights for our cocktails!! That was really the only issue. Long and short -- we enjoyed our stay and have already recommended this property to others.
This apartment is right near the San Marco Piazza(3 minute walk). You have to walk up a few flights of stairs but that is not a problem for us. There are beautiful skylights throughout the apartment and we watched a great thunderstorm through one of them. The ladies managing the apartment were easy to work with and one met us at the boat. We relaxed every afternoon in the apartment because it is so close to everything. Take or buy a map of Venice with you. Tricky streets and I suggest taking a private water taxi to the stop when checking in. We didn't on the way there and it took 45 minutes and very hot. Decided to take one to the airport for the convenience on the way home. I highly recommend Row Venice. We did the evening tour with wine and light fare and the whole family loved it. Where else can you learn to row in Venice?
Shopping and Sightseeing are right outside your door, Piazza San Marco-one minute, Rialto-five minutes, Accademia-7 minutes, San Marco Vaparetto-two minutes, Teatro La Fenice-two minutes, there is a small food market and coffee bar just 30 seconds from the front door
