Truly a one of a kind home with everything you could possibly want in a waterfront home. 108 feet of unobstructed direct waterfront on a nice, flat and beautifully landscaped lot. Many of the lake's homes have incredibly steep cliffs where accessing the water involves climbing up and down stairs. Rest assured that accessing the water from this home is via a nice flat level back yard along our beautiful stone walkway. The 6 foot privacy fence on each side and lush landscape with flowers and fruit trees, lets you feel like you are in a world all of your own. Only feet from the lakefront and direct access to the private pier and floating dock. All on a serene deep water cove. The neighborhood boat ramp is right next door so loading your boat in and out of the water is a breeze! There are 2 kayaks here for exploring the beautiful sights and wildlife. Bring your boat or rent one. There are some boat rentals that will deliver a boat right to our dock. Enjoy the lakeside fire pit with comfy seating. Bask in the sunshine on the chaise loungers. Or let the water lull you to sleep while relaxing on the floating dock. Outdoor amenities abound with boating, skiing, swimming, corn toss, kayaking..the list goes on! Enjoy the decks and outdoor seating. Or grill out and for a lakefront lunch or dinner. There is plenty of outdoor seating, umbrellas and outdoor games. This is paradise by the water. As they say..Lake living is good.'
For anyone considering to rent on Lake Wylie, be sure to ask about water access. Many of the lake front homes here are on cliffs with massive stairs down to the waterside. And some are far from the shoreline and require a trek to get to the water. Just a friendly suggestion whether you will be our guests or not.
This home has a nice level lot and steps away from the water's edge. Enjoying a morning cup of coffee by the lake or in front of a toasty fireplace is simply amazing. Watching the ducks, geese and other local wildlife makes it even more so! The Cranes and Herons flying in to feed off of the pier and dock is something to see...there is nothing like it. One of my favorites is strolling out to the floating dock for an afternoon nap under the shaded pagoda. You can tie your boat to the floating dock and take a 15 minute boat ride to T- Bones for Lunch, Dinner or drinks on their famous outdoor deck. The atmosphere is casual and beach like and they have an enormous boat docking area so you can easily dock the boat and walk right up the plank to the restaurant and bar.
Many guests just like to stay here and enjoy the home's amenities. The gourmet kitchen will make the most discriminating chefs happy. Granite counter tops, stone back-splash, commercial grade pull out faucets, walk in pantry, large center island w/2nd sink and Professional Grade Stainless Steel Appliances. Convection Oven, Microwave, Gas Cook top, Warming Drawer and super quiet Dishwasher. Just a few of it’s incredible features. For coffee fanatics there is a traditional coffee maker, a Keurig and a Tassimo. So bring your favorite K Cups and T Discs! All pots, pans, dishes and utensils are included.
The home is beautifully and tastefully furnished in a unique modern yet rustic feel with all the amenities of lake living. It features 4 bedrooms and and the enormous master closet has a Daybed so it can easily be used as a 5th bedroom. It has a entry door and a separate bathroom entrance. There are 3 full baths and a ½ bath featuring custom tile showers and vessel sinks. Every modern amenity has been added to make this home perfectly accommodating and comfortable.
The top level features the master suite incredibly equipped with a King size poster bed, private balcony/lanai overlooking the lake, gas fireplace and a spa retreat master bath to die for! Also on this level there are two guest bedrooms with a separate full bath. One of the bedrooms has a queen bed and Juliette Balcony looking over the lake and one of the best lake views in the house. I love this home, Lake Wylie, The Charlotte, NC area and all it has to offer! Boating, jet skiing, wake boarding or just relaxing by the lake. I am an artist/singer/songwriter, touring musician and also a business professional. I have lived, worked and played in the Charlotte, NC area since 1987.
Robby Leake purchased this house in 2007
I purchased this property in 2006 and designed and built the home with 2 long years of hard work. I designed the home with what I think is a unique sense of character, 'Modern Rustic' style and I hope a little bit of artistry. It is something I am really proud of and it is certainly one of a kind. From the layout to the interior decor, the home has a charm and warmth that is very inviting. The home, Lake, outdoor activities, landscape and fruit trees all make this truly an amazing place to visit and live. The Town - Belmont is an amazing town! Very close to Charlotte but yet away from the hustle and bustle. Belmont was listed in Money magazine as one of the top 10 places to live in the country. The area is safe, convenient and centrally located to everything both North and South Carolina have to offer. It's close to Charlotte Douglas Airport, Carowinds Theme Park, Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens, The US National Whitewater Center and much more. We are on the boarder of North and South Carolina and an hour or so drive to other attractions like Columbia SC's Riverbanks Zoo, Lazy Five Ranch, Blowing Rock, NC, Asheville, NC etc. There is so much to do, see and experience you will find it hard to see everything there is to experience in the surrounding areas in one trip. You may find yourselves, like many of our guests, returning again and again to see all there is to offer here and the surrounding areas. Or like many, just relaxing, enjoying the home and all the comforts here for you to indulge yourself and enjoy.
This section is for potential long term renters - There are so many things that make this home an incredible place to live. The location is so close to Charlotte Douglas Airport, which would be ideal for anyone in the airline industry or that travels a lot. It's really so close to everything, even Charlotte. 20 minutes to downtown Charlotte via I-85 to Brookshire is a breeze. I make this trip on a constant basis. As for possible roommates I am open to any and everyone male or female. The most important thing is maturity, thoughtfulness and of course the ability to pay rent on time. What ever your situation is I think you will find this a great place to call home. The house is beautiful and 'lake living' is truly an experience you don't want to miss out on. I hope to meet you soon. Sincerely, Robby

I will try to get back with you as soon as possible

We needed a large space for 5 couples and found this house was good for that.
We did have some maintenance problems which the agent felt with relatively quickly.
The property seems overdue for some repairs and cleanup.
I was satisfied with my stay as it was roomy enough and comfortable for my large group.
The home was not impressive when first driving up due to the lawn not being well manicured. But for the most part the home is huge with enough space for everyone to move around without being on top of each other. My family really enjoyed the dock for fishing but don't expect it to be setup as on the pictures. The home was not top notch cleaned as expected, there were cobwebs over the doors, chairs, etc. The stove was not cleaned thoroughly or it was rusting, the refrigerator was not cleaned and it was not cooling properly. On the 3rd day of being there the repairman came to check the refrigerator and stated that it was not working due to dust build-up. There was dust build-up under the beds and there was a broken wicker chair on the deck that needed to be moved, just for safety purposes. There were numerous old and rusted citronella candle cans around the decks and docks,.
Finally the dissatisfaction was that $150 was taken from our deposit due to false information provided by the cleaning crew which was accepted by Ms. Leake and/or management.
1, They reported that dirty dishes was left on the counter, totally untrue.
2. They reported that there were red/white balloons over the yard. We did not have any balloons. A deflated balloon was attached to one of the balconies when we arrived which we took as an oversight to remove.
3. They stated that they had to replace furniture that we moved which was totally untrue. No furniture was moved.
4. They stated that excessive trash was left, we placed trash in the area that was designated. They may have had to empty one or two trash cans from the bathrooms, if anything.
5. They stated that beer tops where left over the back deck and side deck which was not true. The top deck was cleaned daily and the side deck was not used.
It angers me that the cleaning crew made these reports without providing us any verification and management accepting their word when the cleaning crew itself was not up to par. My family have been renting vacation homes for years and never experienced not getting a full refund of deposit.
I responded via email to Ms. Leake/management in reference to the false allegations and as of today, I have not received a response. However, the $150.00 was deducted from the deposit. If I said that we did not enjoy the home I would be lying. So if you are interested in renting the home, do so, but make sure you take pictures or video record the home upon arrival and departure.
We had a wonderful 5 day stay at your beautiful home on Lake Wylie. We had 6 adults and 6 kids all under the age of 5. It was very kid friendly and loved that we could dock the boat right at your dock! The kids loved the games in the cabinet in the basement. Plenty of dishes and cooking stuff to cook with too! We look forward to coming back again!
We rented this house on Lake Wylie for a girls weekend with 12 people. The house was absolutely perfect. There was plenty of room for all of us. We stayed in the house for 4 nights and had a blast.
The owner, Robby, was great. He even stopped by one day to let us barrow his air pump for a large raft we brought.
There were plenty of bathrooms for 12 ladies getting ready at the same time. There were also a lot of towels for us to use.
The neighbors were incredibly friendly and one even offered us use of their paddle boat. The neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed going on runs in the morning through it.
We really enjoyed our time at this house and would recommend it for any large group. Its a peaceful getaway.
We reserved this house for a manly activity Bachelor party and it was awesome! We spent the majority of the days at the nearby US National White Water Center which is a great attraction for people that want to get out and do something adventurous without having to go far away from civilization to do it.
There were 8 of us staying there so there was plenty of room for all of us to stay comfortably. In fact, I wish we had more time and more opportunity to utilize every part of the house! We stayed in the kitchen area primarily and that was plenty for us.
The fire pit outside was a great setting for a night time fireside chat and the canoes were a nice treat for a quick turn around the lake. The area was nice and quiet while we were there so if you're looking for a peaceful getaway this is a great place!
All I have to say is, if you're going to rent this house, make sure you're the one that gets the master bedroom because it enormous and the master bathroom is out of this world! We had a really great time there and will never forget the memories, the laughs, and the time that we had.
Thanks for sharing your house with us! We are definitely considering coming back again!
My friends and I arrived from Australia in North Carolina for a week together. We stayed at the Chalet at Paradise Point where we had the most phenomenal experience.
The Chalet was immaculate. The Chalet was comfortable. The Chalet was so much more than what we expected.
The location was stunning as was the process of dealing with the owners of the Chalet. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to stay. The ease of booking and organising was so great - so thanks to all those behind the scenes who allowed us such an incredible opportunity.
We relaxed on the floating pontoon/deck, kayaked around the lake, watched movies by night, and had plenty of room to go about our activities.
Thank you Paradise Point - we will certainly be coming back for another stay! oxoxoxox
